यहोशवाने त्यांना इस्राएल लोकांचे दास केले. लाकडे फोडणे आणि पाणी भरणे ही कामे ते इस्राएल लोकांसाठी आणि परमेश्वराच्या वेदीसाठी करत राहिले. परमेश्वर जे ठिकाण वेदीसाठी निवडील तेथे तेथे त्यांनी हे केले. आजतागायत ते तसेच दास आहेत.

That day Joshua made those wood cutters and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of Yahweh, to this day, in the place which he should choose.
