यरीहो नगर आणि त्यातील सर्व मालमात्ता काबीज केल्यावर मी एक सुंदर शिनारी (बबिलोनियन) अंगरखा, अंदाजे पाच पौंड चांदी आणि जवळापास एक पौड सोन्याची वीट पाहिली. त्याचा मला मोह पडला त्या वस्तू मी घेतल्या. माझ्या तंबूत या गोष्टी जमिनीत पुरून ठेवलेल्या तुम्हाला सापडतील. चांदी अंगरख्याखाली दडवलेली आहे.”

when I saw among the spoil a goodly Babylonian mantle, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.
