1मग लेवी घराण्याचे प्रमुख हे एलाजार याजक नूनाचा पुत्र यहोशवा आणि इस्राएल लोकांच्या वेगवेगळ्या वंशाचे प्रमुख यांच्याशी बोलायला आले.
1Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2ही भेट कनान देशातील शिलो येथे झाली. लेवी प्रमुख त्यांना म्हणाले, “आम्हाला राहण्यासाठी नगरे आणि आमच्या गुराढोरांना चरण्यासाठी कुरणे द्यावीत अशी आज्ञा परमेश्वराने मोशेला केली आहे.”
2and they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Yahweh commanded Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs of it for our cattle.
3तेव्हा इस्राएल लोकांनी ही परमेश्वराची आज्ञा पाळली. त्यांनी पुढील नगरे आणि गायराने लेवींना दिली.
3The children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of Yahweh, these cities with their suburbs.
4कहाथी हे लेवी वंशातील एक कूळ, त्याच्यातील अहरोन याजकाच्या वंशजांना यहूदा शिमोन आणि बन्यामीन यांच्या वाटणीच्या प्रदेशातील तेरा नगरे मिळाली.
4The lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5एफ्राईम, दान आणि मनश्शाचा अर्धा वंश यांच्या मालकीच्या प्रदेशातील दहा नगरे उरलेल्या कहाथी कुळांना मिळाली.
5The rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6इस्साखार, आशेर, नफताली आणि बाशानमधील मनश्शेचा अर्धा वंश यांच्या भूभागातून गेर्षोनच्या वंशजांना तेरा नगरे मिळाली.
6The children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7मरारीच्या वंशजांना रऊबेन गाद आणि जबुलून यांच्या वाटच्या प्रांतांतून बारा नगरे मिळाली.
7The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8परमेश्वराने मोशेला दिलेली आज्ञा इस्राएल लोकांनी पाळली व लेवी लोकांना पुढील नगरे व त्याभोवतालची शिवारे दिली.
8The children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as Yahweh commanded by Moses.
9यहूदा आणि शिमोनच्या वाटच्या प्रदेशातील नगरे दिली त्यांची नावे पुढे दिली आहेत.
9They gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name:
10चिठ्ठ्या टाकल्या त्यात पहिली चिठ्ठी कहाथी कुळातील लेवींची निघाल्यामूळे ही नगरे त्यांची.
10and they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.
11किर्याथ-आर्बा त्यांना मिळाले (म्हणजेच हेब्रोन. अनाकचा पिता आर्बा याचे नाव या नगराला मिळाले होते.) त्याच्या आसपासची थोडी जमीनही गायरान म्हणून त्यांना मिळाली.
11They gave them Kiriath Arba, which Arba was the father of Anak (the same is Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, with the suburbs of it round about it.
12पण किर्याथ-आर्बांच्या भोवतालची शेते व खेडी यफुन्रेचा पुत्र कालेब याची होती.
12But the fields of the city, and the villages of it, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13तेव्हा त्यांनी हेब्रोन नगर अहरोनच्या वंशजांना दिले. (हेब्रोन हे आश्रयाचे नगर होते.) त्याखेरीज लिब्ना
13To the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with its suburbs,
14यतीर, एष्टमोवा,
14and Jattir with its suburbs, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,
15होलोन, दबीर,
15and Holon with its suburbs, and Debir with its suburbs,
16अईन, युट्टा, आणि बेथ-शेमेश ही नगरे व गुरांसाठी शिवारे दिली. अशाप्रकारे ही नगरे त्या दोन वंशांना दिली.
16and Ain with its suburbs, and Juttah with its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
17बन्यामीनच्या प्रदेशातील नगरे अहरोनच्या वंशजांना मिळाली. ती म्हणजे, गिबोन, गेबा,
17Out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,
18अनाथोथ, अलमोन ही चार नगरे व भोवतालची गायराने.
18Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs; four cities.
19अहरोनच्या वंशातील याजकांना त्यांनी ही तेरा नगरे व शिवारे दिली.
19All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
20एफ्राईमच्या वाटच्या जमिनीतील नगरे कहाथी वंशातील उर्वरित लोकांना मिळाली. ती अशी :
20The families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21एफ्राईमाच्या डोंगराळ प्रदेशातील शखेम हे आश्रयाचे नगर, गेजेर,
21They gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with its suburbs,
22किबसाईम व बेथ-होरोन ही चार नगरे व भोवतालची गायराने.
22and Kibzaim with its suburbs, and Beth Horon with its suburbs; four cities.
23दानच्या हिश्श्यातून एल एतके. गिब्बथोन,
23Out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,
24अयालोन, गथ-रिम्मोन ही चार गावे व गुरांसाठी शिवार दिले.
24Aijalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; four cities.
25मनश्शाच्या अर्ध्या वंशाच्या मालकीच्या प्रदेशातून तानख व गथ-रिम्मोन ही दोन नगरे व शिवारे दिली.
25Out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; two cities.
26कहाथी वंशाला अशी एकंदर दहा नगरे व आसपासची गायराने मिळाली.
26All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with their suburbs.
27लेवी वंशातील गेर्षोन कुळाला ही काही नगरे मिळाली. ती अशी:मनश्शाच्या अर्ध्या वंशातील लोकांनी त्यांना बाशान मधील गोलान दिले (गोलान हे आश्रयस्थान होते.) बैश्तरा देखील दिले. म्हणजेच एकंदर दोन नगरे व शिवार दिली.
27To the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Be-eshterah with its suburbs; two cities.
28इस्साखारच्या वंशजांनी किश्शोन, दाबरथ
28Out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs,
29यर्मूथ, एलगन्रीम चार नगरे भोवतालची शिवारे दिली.
29Jarmuth with its suburbs, En Gannim with its suburbs; four cities.
30आशेरच्या वंशाजांनी मिशाल, अब्दोन,
30Out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,
31हेलाकाथ, रहोब, ही चार नगरे गुरांसाठी भोवतालचे थोडे गायरान दिले.
31Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs; four cities.
32नफतालीच्या कुळातील लोकांनी गालील मधले केदेश दिले. (केदेश हे आश्रयाचे नगर) नफतालींनी हम्मोथ दोर आणि कर्तान ही ही दिली. म्हणजे एकंदर तीन नगरे व गुरांना चरण्यासाठी भोवतालची शिवारे दिली.
32Out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammothdor with its suburbs, and Kartan with its suburbs; three cities.
33गेर्षोन वंशजांना अशी एकंदर तेरा नगरे व गायराने मिळाली.
33All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
34मरारी हे लेवी वंशातील एक कूळ, त्यांना मिळालेली नगरे अशी;जबुलूनच्या वंशजांनी यकनाम, कर्ता
34To the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its suburbs, and Kartah with its suburbs,
35दिम्ना नहलाल ही चार नगरे व शिवार दिली.
35Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs; four cities.
36रऊबेनींनी बेसेर, याहस
36Out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its suburbs, and Jahaz with its suburbs,
37कदेमोथ, मेफाथ ही चार नगरे व गायराने दिली.
37Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs; four cities.
38गाद वंशातील लोकांनी गिलादमधील रामोथ (हे आश्रयाचे नगर) दिले. शिवाय महनाईम,
38Out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with its suburbs,
39हेशबोन, याजेर अशी एकंदर चार नगरे व शिवारे दिली.
39Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.
40अशाप्रकारे मरारी या लेवी वंशातील शेवटच्या कुळाला बारा नगरे मिळाली.
40All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
41म्हणजे लेवी वंशाजांना सर्व मिळून अठ्ठेचाळीस नगरे व गुरांना चारायला शिवारे मिळाली. इस्राएल लोकांमधील इतर सर्व वंशांच्या लोकांच्या मालकीतील ही शहरे आणि जमीन होती.
41All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.
42प्रत्येक गावाला गायरान होते. सर्वच नगराच्या बाबतीत हे खरे होते.
42These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus it was with all these cities.
43अशाप्रकारे इस्राएल लोकांना दिलेला शब्द परमेश्वराने खरा केला. कबूल केल्याप्रमाणे सर्व जमीन त्याने लोकांना दिली. लोकांनी ती ताब्यात घेतली व ते तेथे राहू लागले.
43So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers; and they possessed it, and lived therein.
44तसेच परमेश्वराने त्यांच्या पूर्वजांना शब्द दिल्याप्रमाणे, सगळीकडे सर्वत्र शांतता नांदू लागली. यांना कोणताही शत्रू नामोहरण करु शकला नाही. उलट परमेश्वराच्या करणीने शत्रूच इस्राएल लोकांच्या हाती आला.
44Yahweh gave them rest round about, according to all that he swore to their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45अशाप्रकारे परमेश्वराने दिलेले प्रत्येक वचन पुरे झाले. काहीही पुरे व्हावयाचे शिल्लक राहिले नाही. प्रत्येक शब्द प्रत्यक्षात आला.
45There failed not anything of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.
