हूदी पुढारी येशूला प्रश्न विचारीतच राहिले, म्हणून येशू मान वर करुन त्यांच्याकडे पाहत म्हणाला, “ज्याने कधीच पाप केले नाही असा एकतरी मनुष्य येथे आहे काय? निष्पाप मनुष्य या स्त्रीवर पहिला दगड फेकू शकतो.”
