1परमेश्वर ईयोबला म्हणाला:
1Moreover Yahweh answered Job,
2“ईयोब, तू सर्वशक्तिमान देवाशी वाद घातलास. तू मला चूक केल्याबद्दल दोषी ठरवलेस. आता तू चुकलास हे तू कबूल करशील का? तू मला उत्तर देशील का?”
2"Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it."
3मग ईयोबने देवाला उत्तर दिले तो म्हणाला:
3Then Job answered Yahweh,
4“मी अगदी नगण्यआहे. मी काय बोलू? मी तुला उत्तर देऊ शकत नाही. मी माझा हात माझ्या तोंडावर ठेवतो.
4"Behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.
5मी एकदा बोललो होतो. पण आता अधिक बोलणार नाही.” मी दोनदा बोललो पण मी आता अधिक बोलणार नाही.”
5I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further."
6नंतर परमेश्वर वादळातून पुन्हा ईयोबशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला:
6Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,
7“ईयोब, तू आता कंबर कसूनउभा राहा आणि मी जे प्रश्र विचारतो त्याची उत्तरे द्यायला सिध्द हो.
7"Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.
8“ईयोब, मी न्यायी नाही असे तुला वाटते का? मी काही चूक केल्याचा आरोप करुन तू स्वत:चे निरपराधित्व सिध्द करु पहात आहेस.
8Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?
9ईयोब तुझे बाहू देवाच्या बाहूंइतके शक्तिशाली आहेत का? देवाच्या आवाजासारखा तुझा आवाज गडगडाटी आहे का?
9Or have you an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
10जर तू देवासारखा असलास तर तुला स्वत:बद्दल अभिमान वाटू दे. आणि तुला मान मिळू दे. तू जर देवासारखा असलास तर तू मानमरातब आणि वैभव कपड्यांसारखे घालू शकतोस.
10"Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.
11तू जर देवासारखा असलास तर तू तुझा राग दाखवू शकतोस आणि गर्विष्ठ लोकांना शिक्षा करु शकतोस. गर्विष्ठांना मान खाली घालायला लावू शकतोस.
11Pour forth the fury of your anger. Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low.
12होय ईयोब त्या गर्विष्ठांकडे बघ आणि त्यांना नम्र कर. वाईट लोकांना जागच्या जागी चिरडून टाक.
12Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.
13त्यांना चिखलात पुरुन टाक. त्यांचे शरीर गुंडाळून थडग्यात टाकून दे.
13Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.
14ईयोब, तू जर या सगळ्या गोष्टी करु शकशील तर मी सुध्दा तुझी स्तुती करीन. आणि तु तुझ्या सामर्थ्याने स्वत:ला वाचवू शकतोस हे मी मान्य करीन.
14Then I will also admit to you That your own right hand can save you.
15“ईयोब, तू बेहेमोथ कडे बघ. मी (देवाने) तुला आणि बेहेमोथला एकाच वेळी निर्माण केले. बेहेमोथ गायीसारखे गवत खातो.
15"See now, behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.
16बेहेमोथच्या अंगात बरीच शक्ती आहे. त्याच्या पोटातले स्नायू खूप बळकट आहेत.
16Look now, his strength is in his loins, His force is in the muscles of his belly.
17बेहेमोथची शेपटी देवदाराच्या झाडासारखी उभी राहते. त्याच्या पायातले स्नायूही बळकट आहेत.
17He moves his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
18“बेहेमोथची हाडे पितळेसारखी बळकट आहेत. त्यांचे पाय म्हणजे जणू लोखंडाच्या कांबी.
18His bones are like tubes of brass. His limbs are like bars of iron.
19बेहेमोथ हा अतिशय आश्र्चर्यकारक प्राणी मी (देवाने) निर्माण केला आहे. परंतु मी त्याचा पराभव करु शकतो.
19He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.
20डोंगरावर जिथे जंगली श्र्वापदे खेळतात तिथले गवत बेहेमोथ खातो.
20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the animals of the field do play.
21तो कमळाच्या झाडाखाली झोपतो. बेहेमोथ दलदलीतल्या लव्हाळ्यात लपतो.
21He lies under the lotus trees, In the covert of the reed, and the marsh.
22कमळाचे झाड बेहेमोथला आपल्या सावलीत लपवते. तो नदीजवळ उगवणाऱ्या एका वृक्षाखाली (विलोवृक्ष) राहतो.
22The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.
23नदीला पूर आला तर बेहेमोथ पळून जात नाही. यार्देन नदीचा प्रवाह त्याच्या तोंडावर आदळला तरी तो घाबरत नाही.
23Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn't tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.
24बेहेमोथचे डोळे कुणीही बांधू शकणार नाही आणि त्याला सापळ्यात अडकवू शकणार नाही.
24Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare?
