1नंतर अलीहूने आपले बोलणे चालूच ठेवले तो म्हणाला:
1Moreover Elihu answered,
2शहाण्या माणसांनो मी काय सांगतो ते ऐका. हुशार माणसांनो, माझ्याकडे लक्ष द्या.
2"Hear my words, you wise men; Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
3तुमची जीभ ज्या अन्नाला स्पर्श करते त्याची चव तिला कळते आणि तुमच्या कानांवर जे शब्द पडतात ते त्यांना पारखता येतात.
3For the ear tries words, As the palate tastes food.
4तेव्हा आपण आता या मुद्यांची तपासणी करु या आणि काय योग्य आहे याचा निर्णय करु या. काय चांगले आहे ते आपण सगळ्यांनी बरोबर शिकू या.
4Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
5ईयोब म्हणतो, ‘मी, ईयोब निष्पाप आहे, आणि देव माझ्या बाबतीत न्यायी नाही.
5For Job has said, 'I am righteous, God has taken away my right:
6मी निरपराध आहे, परंतु माझ्याविरुध्द लागलेला निकाल मला खोटारडा ठरवतो. मी निरपराध असूनही मला खूप कष्ट भोगायला लागले.’
6Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar; My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.'
7“ईयोबसारखा आणखी कुणी आहे का? तुम्ही ईयोबची मानहानी केली तरी तो त्याकडे दुर्लक्ष करतो.
7What man is like Job, Who drinks scorn like water,
8ईयोब वाईटांशी मैत्री करतो त्याला दुष्टांबरोबर राहायला आवडते.
8Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, And walks with wicked men?
9मी असे का म्हणतो? कारण ईयोब म्हणतो की, ‘माणूस जर देवाला खुश करायला लागला तर त्याला त्यापासून काहीही मिळणार नाही.’
9For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing That he should delight himself with God.'
10“तुम्हाला समजू शकते, म्हणून तुम्ही माझे ऐका. जे वाईट आहे ते देव कधीही करणार नाही. तो सर्वशक्तिमान देव कधीच चुकणार नाही.
10"Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, From the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11एखादा माणूस जे काही करतो त्याबद्दल देव त्याची परतफेड करील. देव लोकांना त्यांच्या लायकीप्रमाणे देतो
11For the work of a man will he render to him, And cause every man to find according to his ways.
12हे सत्य आहे देव कधीही चुकत नाही, सर्वशक्तिमान देव नेहमीच न्याची असतो.
12Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, Neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
13देवाला कुणीही पृथ्वीवरचा अधिकारी म्हणून निवडले नाही. सगळ्या जगाची काळजी देवावर कुणी सोपवली नाही. सारे काही देवानेच निर्माण केले आहे आणि सारे त्याच्याच नियंत्रणाखाली आहे.
13Who gave him a charge over the earth? Or who has appointed him over the whole world?
14जर देवाने पृथ्वीवरील लोकांचा आत्मा आणि श्वास घेऊन
14If he set his heart on himself, If he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath;
15टाकायचे ठरवले तर पृथ्वीवरील सर्वजण मरतील. सगळ्याची परत माती होईल.
15All flesh would perish together, And man would turn again to dust.
16“जर तुम्ही शहाणे असाल तर मी काय म्हणतो त्याकडे लक्ष द्याल.
16"If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.
17जो माणूस न्यायी होण्यासंबंधी तिरस्कार करतो तो कधीच राज्यकर्ता होऊ शकत नाही. ईयोब, देव शक्तिमान आणि चांगला आहे. तू त्याला अपराधी ठरवू शकशील असे तुला वाटते का?
17Shall even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty?�
18एक देवच असा आहे जो राजांना ‘तुम्ही कवडीमोलाचे आहात’ असे म्हणू शकतो. देव पुढाऱ्यांना, ‘तुम्ही वाईट आहात.’ असे सांगू शकतो.
18Who says to a king, 'Vile!' Or to nobles, 'Wicked!'
19देव इतरांपेक्षा पुढाऱ्यांवर अधिक प्रेम करीत नाही. देव गरीब माणसांपेक्षा श्रीमंतांवर अधिक प्रेम करत नाही. का? कारण त्यानेच प्रत्येकाला निर्माण केले आहे.
19Who doesn't respect the persons of princes, Nor regards the rich more than the poor; For they all are the work of his hands.
20माणसे अर्ध्यारात्री एकाएकी मरुन जातात. ते आजारी पडतात आणि मरतात. अगदी शक्तिशाली लोकसुध्दा, कारण नसताना मरतात.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight; The people are shaken and pass away, The mighty are taken away without hand.
21“लोक जे करतात ते देव बघतो. देव माणसाची प्रत्येक हालचाल बघत असतो.
21"For his eyes are on the ways of a man, He sees all his goings.
22जगात कुठेही अशी अंधारी जागा नाही जिथे वाईट माणसे देवापासून लपून बसू शकतील.
22There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23देवाला लोकांची अधिक परीक्षा घेण्यासाठी वेळ ठरवण्याची गरज नसते. लोकांचा न्यायनिवाडा करण्यासाठी त्यांना समोर आणण्याची गरजही देवाला भासत नाही.
23For he doesn't need to consider a man further, That he should go before God in judgment.
24“शक्तिशाली लोकांनी वाईट कुत्ये केल्यावर देवाला त्यांना प्रश्र्न विचारण्याची गरज वाटत नाही. तो सहजपणे त्यांचा नाश करु शकतो आणि त्यांच्या जागी इतरांना पुढारी बनवू शकतो.
24He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out, And sets others in their place.
25तेव्हा लोक काय करतात ते देवाला माहीत असते. म्हणूनच देव रात्रीतून दुष्टांना पराभव करतो आणि त्यांचा नि:पात करतो.
25Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26वाईट माणसांनी जी दुष्कृत्ये केली असतील त्याबद्दल देव त्यांना शिक्षा करतो. आणि जिथे इतर लोक त्यांना पाहू शकतील अशा ठिकाणी देव त्यांना शिक्षा करतो.
26He strikes them as wicked men In the open sight of others;
27का? कारण वाईट माणसांनी देवाची आज्ञा पाळायचे थांबवले आणि देवाला हवे ते करण्याकडे त्यांनी दुर्लक्ष केले.
27Because they turned aside from following him, And wouldn't have regard in any of his ways:
28हे दुष्ट लोक गरीबांना कष्ट देतात, आणि मदतीसाठी देवाकडे याचना करायला भाग पाडतात.
28So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him, He heard the cry of the afflicted.
29देव गरीबांची मदतीसाठी हाक ऐकतो. परंतु गरीबांना मदत करायची नाही असे देवाने ठरवले तरी देवाला कुणी अपराधी ठरवू शकणार नाही. देवाने जर लोकांपासून लपून राहायचे असे ठरवले तर कोणालाही तो सापडू शकणार नाही. तो लोकांवर आणि राज्यांवर राज्य करणारा राज्यकर्ता आहे.
29When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man:
30परंतु जर एखादा माणूस वाईट असेल आणि इतरांना पाप करायला भाग पाडत असेल तर देव त्या माणसाला कधीही राज्यकर्ता होऊ देणार नाही.
30That the godless man may not reign, That there be no one to ensnare the people.
31जर तो माणूस देवाला म्हणेल की, “मी अपराधी आहे. यापुढे मी पाप करणार नाही.
31"For has any said to God, 'I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.
32देवा, मी जरी तुला बघू शकत नसलो, तरी तू मला जगण्याचा योग्य मार्ग दाखव. मी जरी चुका केल्या असल्या तरी मी त्या पुन्हा करणार नाही.’ तरच असे घडेल.
32Teach me that which I don't see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?
33“ईयोब, तुला देवाने बक्षीस द्यावे असे वाटते. परंतु तू मात्र बदलायला तयार नाहीस. ईयोब, हा तुझा निर्णय आहे. माझा नाही. तुला काय वाटते ते मला सांग.
33Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.
34शहाणा माणूस माझे ऐकेल. शहाणा माणूस म्हणेल.
34Men of understanding will tell me, Yes, every wise man who hears me:
35‘ईयोब एखाद्या अज्ञानी माणसासारखे बोलत आहे. तो जे काही बोलतो ते अर्थहीन आहे.’
35'Job speaks without knowledge, His words are without wisdom.'
36‘ईयोबला अजून शिक्षा करायला हवी असे मला वाटते. का? कारण ईयोब एखाद्या वाईट माणसासारखे आपल्याला उत्तर देत आहे.
36I wish that Job were tried to the end, Because of his answering like wicked men.
37ईयोब त्याच्या पापात बंडाची भर घालीत आहे. ईयोब इथे आपल्यासमोर बसून आपला अपमान करतो आहे आणि देवाची थट्टा करतो आहे.”
37For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, And multiplies his words against God."
