यहूदाच्या लोकांनी बेन हिन्नोमच्या दरीत तोफेतची उच्चस्थाने बांधली आहेत. त्या ठिकाणी लोक स्वत:च्या मुलामुलींना ठार मारतात आणि दैवताला अर्पण करण्यासाठी म्हणून जाळतात. अशी आज्ञा मी कधीही दिलेली नाही. असे काही माझ्या मनातही कधी आलेले नाही.

They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I didn't command, neither came it into my mind.
