हा संदेश अम्मोनी लोकांसाठी आहे. परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “अम्मोनी लोकांनो, इस्राएली लोकांना मुले नाहीत असे तुम्हाला वाटते का? आईवडील गेल्यावर तेथील जमिनीला कोणी वारस नाही असे तुम्ही समजता का? म्हणूनच कदाचित् मिलकोमने गादची भूमी घेतली का?”

Of the children of Ammon. Thus says Yahweh: Has Israel no sons? has he no heir? why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people well in the cities of it?

परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “अम्मोनीच्या राब्बातून युद्धाचा खणखणाट ऐकण्याची वेळ येईल. राब्बाचा नाश होईल. ते पडझड झालेल्या इमारतींनी झाकलेली ओसाड टेकडी होईल. त्याच्या भोवतीची गावे जाळली जातील. ज्या लोकांनी, इस्राएलच्या लोकांना इस्राएलची भूमी बळजबरीने सोडायला लावली, त्यांच्याकडून इस्राएलचे लोक आपल्या भूमीचा ताबा घेतील. पण भविष्यात, इस्राएल त्यांना बळजबरीने हाकलून लावेल.” परमेश्वराने हे सांगितले.

Therefore, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of Ammon; and it shall become a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel possess those who did possess him, says Yahweh.

“हेशबोनच्या लोकांनो, रडा का? कारण आयचा नाश झाला आहे. अम्मोनच्या राब्बातील स्त्रियांनो, शोक करा. शोकप्रदर्शक कपडे घालून रडा! सुरक्षेसाठी शहराकडे पळा! का? कारण शत्रू येत आहे. ते मिलकोम दैवताला, त्याच्या पुजाऱ्याला व इतर अधिकाऱ्यांना नेतील.

Wail, Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste; cry, you daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth: lament, and run back and forth among the fences; for Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

तुम्ही तुमच्या सामर्थ्याबद्दल बढाया मारता. पण तुम्ही दुर्बल होत आहात. तुमचा पैसा तुम्हाला वाचवील असा तुम्हाला विश्वास वाटतो तुमच्यावर हल्ला करण्याचा कोणी विचारही करणार नाही असे तुम्ही समजता.”

Why glory you in the valleys, your flowing valley, backsliding daughter? who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come to me?

पण सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो: “मी सर्व बाजूंनी तुमच्यावर संकटे आणीन. तुम्ही सर्व पळून जाल आणि कोणीही तुम्हाला एकत्र आणू शकणार नाही.”

Behold, I will bring a fear on you, says the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, from all who are round about you; and you shall be driven out every man right forth, and there shall be none to gather together the fugitives.

“अम्मोनी लोकांना कैदी करुन नेले जाईल. पण एक वेळ अशी येईल की मी त्यांना परत आणीन.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.

But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the children of Ammon, says Yahweh.

हा संदेश अदोमसाठी आहेसर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर म्हणतो: “तेमानमध्ये जरासुद्धा शहाणपण उरले नाही का? अदोमचे सुज्ञ लोक चांगला सल्ला देऊ शकत नाहीत का? त्यांनी त्यांचे शहाणपण गमावले का?

Of Edom. Thus says Yahweh of Hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?

ददानच्या लोकांनो, पळा! लपा! का? कारण मी एसावाला त्याने केलेल्या दुष्कृत्याबद्दल शिक्षा करीन.

Flee you , turn back, dwell in the depths, inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau on him, the time that I shall visit him.

“मजूर द्राक्षमळ्यातून द्राक्षे तोडतात पण ते काही द्राक्षे झाडावरच ठेवतात. चोरसुद्धा सर्व नेत नाही.

If grape-gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, wouldn't they destroy until they had enough?

पण एसावातील सर्व काही मी काढून घेईन, मी त्याच्या सर्व लपायच्या जागा शोधून काढीन. तो माझ्यापासून लपून राहू शकणार नाही. त्याची मुले, नातेवाईक, शेजारी सर्व मरतील.

But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is destroyed, and his brothers, and his neighbors; and he is no more.
11
त्याच्या मुलांची काळजी घ्यायला कोणीही शिल्लक राहणार नाही. त्याच्या बायका निराधार होतील.” पण मी (देव) तुमच्या अनाथ मुलांच्या जीवाचे रक्षण करीन. तुमच्या विधवा माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेऊ शकतात.”

Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let your widows trust in me.
12
परमेश्वर म्हणतो: “काही लोक शिक्षेला पात्र नाहीत. पण त्यांना सोसावे लागते. पण अदोम, तू शिक्षेला पात्र आहेस. म्हणून तुला खरोखरीच शिक्षा होईल. तुझ्या शिक्षेतून तुझी सुटका होणार नाही. तुला शिक्षा होईलच.”

For thus says Yahweh: Behold, they to whom it didn't pertain to drink of the cup shall assuredly drink; and are you he who shall altogether go unpunished? you shall not go unpunished, but you shall surely drink.
13
परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “माझ्या अधिकारात मी वचन देतो की बसऱ्याचा नाश होईल. ते शहर पडझड झालेल्या दगडांची रास होईल. दुसऱ्या शहरांना शाप देताना लोक बसऱ्याचे नाव उच्चारतील. लोक त्याचा अपमान करतील आणि त्याभोवतालची गावेसुद्धा कायमची नाश पावतील.”

For I have sworn by myself, says Yahweh, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities of it shall be perpetual wastes.

मी परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश ऐकला परमेश्वराने राष्ट्रांकडे दूत पाठविला. तो असा “तुमची सैन्ये गोळा करा. लढायला सज्ज व्हा. अदोमकडे कूच करा.

I have heard news from Yahweh, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15
“अदोम, मी तुला राष्ट्रांमध्ये क्षुद्र बनवीन. प्रत्येकजण तुझा तिरस्कार करील.
15
For, behold, I have made you small among the nations, and despised among men.
16
अदोम, तू दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रांना घाबरविलेस! म्हणून तू स्वत:ला श्रेष्ठ समजलास! पण तू मूर्ख बनलास! तुझ्या गर्वाने तुला फसविले. अदोम, तू डोंगरात उंचावर राहतोस मोठ्या दगड धोंड्यांनी सुरक्षित केलेल्या जागी तू राहतोस पण जरी तू गरुडाच्या घरट्याप्रमाणे उंच घर बांधलेस तरी मी तुला पकडून खाली खेचून आणीन.” परमेश्वराने ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.

As for your terror, the pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who hold the height of the hill: though you should make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there, says Yahweh.
17
अदोमचा नाश होईल. लोकांना ते पाहून धक्का बसेल. नाश झालेली शहरे पाहून लोक चकित होऊन सुस्कारे सोडतील.

Edom shall become an astonishment: everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues of it.
18
सदोम, गमोरा त्याभोवतालची गावे यांच्याप्रमाणे अदोमचा नाश होईल. तेथे कोणीही राहणार नाही.” देव असे म्हणाला,

As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Yahweh, no man shall dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.
19
“यार्देन नदीजवळच्या दाट झुडुपातून कधीतरी सिंह येईल व तो लोक शेतात जेथे मेंढ्या व गुरे ठेवतात, तेथे जाईल. मी त्या सिंहा सारखाच आहे. मी अदोमला जाईन आणि त्या लोकांना घाबरवीन. मी त्यांना पळून जायला भाग पाडीन, त्यांचा एकही तरुण मला थांबवू शकणार नाही. कोणीही माझ्यासारखा नाही. कोणीही मला आव्हान देणार नाही. त्यांचा कोणीही मेंढपाळ (नेता) माझ्या विरोधात उभा राहणार नाही.”

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?
20
म्हणून अदोमच्या लोकांसाठी परमेश्वराने आखलेला बेत काय आहे तो ऐका: तेमानच्या लोकांचे काय करायचे ते परमेश्वराने ठरविले आहे. ते काय ठरविले आहे तेही ऐका. शत्रू अदोमच्या कळपातून (लोकांतून) लहान लेकरांना ओढून नेईल. त्यांनी केलेल्या कृत्यांमुळे अदोमची कुरणे ओसाड बनतील.

Therefore hear the counsel of Yahweh, that he has taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.
21
अदोमच्या पडण्याच्या आवाजाने धरणी हादरेल. त्याचा आक्रोश तांबड्या समुद्रापर्येत ऐकू जाईल.

The earth trembles at the noise of their fall; there is a cry, the noise whereof is heard in the Red Sea.
22
हेरलेल्या सावजावर घिरटया घालणाऱ्या गरुडाप्रमाणे परमेश्वर आहे. परमेश्वर, गरुडाप्रमाणे, आपले पंख बसऱ्यावर पसरेल. त्या वेळी अदोमचे सैनिक फार भयभीत होतील प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे शूर सैनिक भीतीने रडतील.

Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread out his wings against Bozrah: and the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
23
हा संदेश दिमिष्क शहरासाठी आहे.‘हमाथ व अर्पाद ही गावे घाबरली आहेत वाईट बातमी ऐकल्याने ती घाबरलीत. त्यांचा धीर खचला आहे. ते चिंताग्रस्त झाले आहेत आणि भयभीतही

Of Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad; for they have heard evil news, they are melted away: there is sorrow on the sea; it can't be quiet.
24
दिमीष्क दुबळे झाले आहे. लोकांना पळून जायचे आहे. लोक भीतिग्रस्त होण्याच्या बेतात आहेत. प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे लोकांना यातना व वेदना होत आहेत.

Damascus has grown feeble, she turns herself to flee, and trembling has seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.
25
“दिमिष्क एक सुखी नगरी होती. लोकांनी अजून ती ‘मौजेची नगरी’ सोडलेली नाही.

How is the city of praise not forsaken, the city of my joy?
26
म्हणून तरुण त्या नगरीतील सार्वजनिक स्थळी मरतील. त्या वेळी तिचे सर्व सैनिक मारले जातील.” सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराने ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.

Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, says Yahweh of Hosts.
27
“मी दिमिष्काच्या तटबंदीला आग लावीन. ती बेन-हदादचे मजबूत गड पूर्णपणे बेचिराख करील.”
27
I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben Hadad.

हा संदेश केदारच्या कुळांसाठी व हासोरच्या राज्यकर्त्यांसाठी आहे. बाबेलचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर याने त्यांचा पराभव केला.परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “जा आणि केदारच्या कुळांवर चढाई करा. पूर्वेच्या लोकांचा नाश करा.

Of Kedar, and of the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon struck. Thus says Yahweh: Arise you , go up to Kedar, and destroy the children of the east.

त्यांचे तंबू व कळप नेले जातील. त्यांचे तंबू व संपत्ती घेतली जाईल त्यांचा शत्रू त्यांचे उंट नेईल. लोक त्यांना ओरडून सांगतील. ‘आमच्याभोवती काहीतरी भयंकर घडत आहे.’

Their tents and their flocks shall they take; they shall carry away for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry to them, Terror on every side!
30
लवकर पळा! हासोरवासीयांनो, लपायला चांगली जागा शोधा.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे. “नबुखद्नेस्सरने तुमच्याविरुद्ध कट केला आहे. तुमचा पराभव करण्यासाठी त्याने हुशारीने बेत रचला आहे.

Flee you , wander far off, dwell in the depths, you inhabitants of Hazor, says Yahweh; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.
31
आपण सुरक्षित आहोत अशी भावना असलेले एक राष्ट्र आहे. त्याला अतिशय सुरक्षित वाटते त्याच्या रक्षणसाठी दरवाजे वा कुंपण नाही. त्यांच्याजवळ कोणी माणसे राहात नाहीत. परमेश्वर म्हणतो, ‘त्या राष्ट्रांवर हल्ला करा.’

Arise, go up to a nation that is at ease, that dwells without care, says Yahweh; that have neither gates nor bars, that dwell alone.
32
शत्रू त्यांचे उंट व गुरांचे मोठे कळप चोरेल. ते लोक त्यांच्या दाढीच्या कडा कापतात.मी त्यांना जगाच्या लांबच्या कोपऱ्यात पळून जायला लावीन. मी, त्यांच्यावर, सगळीकडून संकटे आणीन.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे.

Their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter to all winds those who have the corners of their hair cut off; and I will bring their calamity from every side of them, says Yahweh.
33
“हासोरला फक्त कोल्ह्यांची वस्ती होईल. तेथे कोणीही मनुष्यप्राणी राहणार नाही. ती जागा निर्जन होईल. तेथे कायमचे ओसाड वाळवंट होईल.”

Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation forever: no man shall dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.
34
यहूदाचा राजा सिद्कीया ह्याचा कारकिर्दीच्या सुरवातीच्या काळात यिर्मया या संदेष्ट्याला परमेश्वराचा संदेश मिळाला. तो एलाम या राष्ट्राबाबत होता.

The word of Yahweh that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “मी लवकरच एलामचे धनुष्य मोडीन. धनुष्य हे त्याचे सर्वांत सामर्थ्यशाली शस्त्र आहे.

Thus says Yahweh of Hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
36
मी एलामच्या विरुद्ध चार वारे सोडीन. मी त्यांना आकाशाच्या चार कोपऱ्यातून सोडीन. जगाच्या पाठीवर जेथे चारी वारे पोहोचतील अशा ठिकाणी मी त्यांना पाठवीन. एलामचे लोक कैदी म्हणून प्रत्येक राष्ट्रांतून नेले जातील.

On Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of the sky, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
37
एलामचे त्याच्या शत्रूसमोर मी तुकडे तुकडे करीन. जे लोक त्याला ठार करु इच्छितात, त्यांच्यासमोर मी एलामला मोडीन. मी त्यांच्यावर भयंकर संकटे आणीन. मी कित्ती रागावलो आहे, हे त्यांना दाखवून देईल.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.“एलामचा पाठलाग करायला मी तलवार पाठवीन. मी त्या सर्वांना ठार करेपर्यंत, ती त्यांचा पाठलाग करील.

I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before those who seek their life; and I will bring evil on them, even my fierce anger, says Yahweh; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them;
38
नियंत्रण करणे माझ्या हातात आहे, हे मी एलामला दाखवून देईन. मी राजा व त्याचे अधिकारी यांना ठार करीन.” हा देवाचा संदेश आहे.

and I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from there king and princes, says Yahweh.
39
“पण भविष्यात, मी एलामला परत आणीन आणि तिच्याबाबतीत चांगल्या गोष्टी घडतील असे करीन.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.

But it shall happen in the latter days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, says Yahweh.
