याहीपेक्षा अधिक महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे बंधूंनो, स्वर्गाच्या किंवा पृथ्वीच्या नावाने शपथ वाहायचे थांबवा किंवा इतर कोणत्याही प्रकारची शपथ वाहू नका. तुमचे “होय” हे “होयच” असू द्या. तुमचे “नाही” हे “नाहीच” असू द्या, यासाठी की तुम्ही देवाच्या परीक्षेत येऊ नये.

But above all things, my brothers, don't swear, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your "yes" be "yes," and your "no," "no;" so that you don't fall into hypocrisy.
