आम्ही डोळे नसलेल्याप्रमाणे आहोत. आंधळ्यांप्रमाणे आम्ही भिंतीपाशी धडपडतो. रात्री अडखळून पडावे तसे आम्ही पडतो. दिवसासुध्दा आम्ही पाहू शकत नाही. दुपारी आम्ही मेलेल्या माणसांप्रमाणे पडतो.

We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.
