1मी माझ्या मित्रासाठी (देवासाठी) गाणे गाईन. हे गाणे, माझ्या मित्राच्या द्राक्षमळ्याच्या (इस्राएलच्या) प्रेमासंबंधी असेल.माझ्या मित्राचा द्राक्षमळा अतिशय सुपीक जमिनीत होता.
1Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.
2माझ्या मित्राने खणून जमीन साफसूफ केली. तिच्यामध्ये अतिशय उत्तम प्रतीच्या द्राक्षाची लागवड केली. त्याने मळ्याच्या मध्यभागी एक मनोरा बांधला. द्राक्षाचे उत्तम पीक येईल अशी त्याला आशा होती पण त्यातून निकृष्ट प्रतीचीच फळे आली.
2He dug it up, Gathered out its stones, Planted it with the choicest vine, Built a tower in its midst, And also cut out a winepress therein. He looked for it to yield grapes, But it yielded wild grapes.
3म्हणून देव म्हणाला, “यरूशलेममध्ये राहणाऱ्या लोकांनो व यहूदात राहणाऱ्या लोकांनो, माझा आणि माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्याचा जरा विचार करा.
3"Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Please judge between me and my vineyard.
4माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्यासाठी मी आणखी काय करू शकलो असतो? मला जे करणे शक्य होते ते सर्व मी केले मी चांगल्या पिकाची आशा केली पण पीक वाईट आले. असे का झाले?
4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?
5आता मी माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्याचे काय करणार आहे ते तुम्हाला सांगतो.मळ्याच्या संरक्षणासाठी लावलेले काटेरी कुंपण काढून मी जाळून टाकीन. त्याच्या आवाराची दगडी भिंत फोडून दगड पायाने तुडवीन.
5Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall of it, and it will be trampled down.
6मी माझा द्राक्षमळा उजाड करीन. कोणीही वेलीची काळजी घेणार नाही. कोणीही त्या मळ्यात काम करणार नाही. त्यात तण व काटेकुटे माजतील. तेथे पाऊस न पाडण्याची मी ढगांना आज्ञा करीन.”
6I will lay it a wasteland. It won't be pruned nor hoed, But it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it."
7सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराच्या मालकीचा द्राक्षमळा म्हणजे इस्राएल हा देश होय. ज्या द्राक्षवेली परमेश्वराला प्रिय आहेत त्या म्हणजे यहुदी लोक होत.परमेश्वराने न्यायाची आशा केली पण तेथे फक्त हत्याच घडली. परमेश्वराने प्रामाणिकपणाची आशा धरली पण तेथे फक्त वाईट रितीने वागविलेल्या लोकांचे आक्रोश होते.
7For the vineyard of Yahweh of Hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah his pleasant plant: And he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; For righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress.
8अजिबात जागा शिल्लक राहणार नाही अशारीतीने घराला घर व शेताला शेत जोडणाऱ्यांना तुमचा धिक्कार असो. परन्तु परमेश्वर तुम्हाला शिक्षा करील. असे हे तुम्हाला देशात एकाकी राहण्यास भाग पाडेपर्यंत चालू राहील.
8Woe to those who join house to house, Who lay field to field, until there is no room, And you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
9सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराने मला हे सांगितले व मी ऐकले, “आता तेथे खूप घरे आहेत पण मी नक्की सांगतो की ती सर्व उध्वस्त होतील. मोठी व सुंदर घरे तेथे आहेत पण ती सर्व रिकामी पडतील.
9In my ears, Yahweh of Hosts says: "Surely many houses will be desolate, Even great and beautiful, unoccupied.
10तेव्हा दहा एकराच्या द्राक्षाच्या मळ्यातून अगदी थोडा द्राक्षरस मिळेल आणि खूप पोती बियाणे वापरले तरी अगदी थोडे पीक येईल.”
10For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, And a homer of seed shall yield an ephah."
11लवकर उठून नशा आणणाऱ्या पेयाच्या शोधास लागणाऱ्यांनो तुमचा धिक्कार असो. तुम्ही मद्यापानाने धुंद होऊन रात्री उशिरापर्यंत जागत राहता.
11Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; Who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!
12मद्य, सारंगी, डफ, बासरी आणि इतर वाद्ये यांच्या संगतीत तुम्ही मेजवान्या करता आणि परमेश्वराची करणी तुम्हाला दिसत नाही. परमेश्वराने आपल्या हाताने अनेक गोष्टी घडवल्या आहेत पण त्या तुमच्या लक्षात येत नाहीत. हे तुमच्या दृष्टीने अजिबात चांगले नाही.
12The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; But they don't regard the work of Yahweh, Neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
13परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “माझ्या लोकांना पकडून नेले जाईल. का? कारण ते समजदार नाहीत. त्यांच्यातील उच्चपदस्थांची उपासमार होईल. त्यांतील बहुसंख्य तहानेने तळमळतील.
13Therefore my people have go into captivity for lack of knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitudes are parched with thirst.
14पण ती सर्व मोठी माणसे मरतील व (शिओल) अधोलोकात अधिक भर पडेल. मृत्यु आपला अजस्त्र जबडा पसरेल आणि ते सर्व लोक खाली अधोलोकात जातील.”
14Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, And opened its mouth without measure; And their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.
15लोक हीनदीन होतील. गर्विष्ठ माणसांच्या माना खाली जातील.
15So man is brought low, Mankind is humbled, And the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;
16सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर प्रामाणिकपणाने योग्य न्याय करील आणि लोकांना त्याची महानता कळेल. पवित्र देव योग्य त्याच गोष्टी करेल आणि लोक त्याचा आदर करतील.
16But Yahweh of Hosts is exalted in justice, And God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
17देव इस्राएल लोकांना त्यांचा देश सोडून जाण्यास भाग पाडेल. सर्व भूमी ओसाड होईल. शेळ्या-मेंढ्यांना मोकळे कुरण मिळेल. एकेकाळी श्रीमंतांची मालकी असलेल्या जमिनीवर कोकरे चरतील.
17Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, And strangers will eat the ruins of the rich.
18त्या लोकांकडे पाहा लोक दोरांनी गाड्या खेचून नेतात तसे ते आपले गुन्हे व पापे वाहून नेत आहेत.
18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, And wickedness as with cart rope;
19ते लोक म्हणतात, “देवाने त्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे जे करायचे ते लवकरात लवकर करावे, म्हणजे आम्हाला काय घडणार आहे ते तरी कळेल. परमेश्वराची इच्छा लवकर पूर्ण व्हावी म्हणजे आम्हांला त्याची योजना कळेल.”
19Who say, "Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, That we may know it!"
20ते लोक चांगल्या गोष्टी वाईट आहेत व वाईट गोष्टी चांगल्या आहेत असे म्हणतात. ते प्रकाशाला अंधार व अंधाराला प्रकाश समजतात. त्यांना आंबट गोड लागते व गोड आंबट लागते.
20Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, And light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, And sweet for bitter!
21ते स्वत:ला फार चलाख समजतात. त्यांना वाटते आपण फार बुध्दिमान आहोत.
21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!
22मद्य पिण्यात त्यांची प्रसिध्दी आहे आणि मद्याचे मिश्रण करण्यात ते तरबेज आहेत.
22Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, And champions at mixing strong drink;
23जर त्यांना पैसे चारले तर गुन्हेगारालाही ते माफ करतील पण ते सज्जनांना प्रामणिकपणे न्याय मिळू देणार नाहीत.
23Who acquit the guilty for a bribe, But deny justice for the innocent!
24अशा लोकांचे वाईट होईल. ज्याप्रमाणे आगीमध्ये पाने आणि गवत जळून भस्मसात होते त्याप्रमाणे त्यांच्या वंशजांचा पूर्णपणे नाश होईल. अंकुर मरून धुळीला मिळावा अथवा आगीत फूल जळून त्याची राख वाऱ्यावर कोठल्या कोठे उडून जावी तसाच त्यांच्या वंशजांचा समूळ नाश होईल.त्या लोकांनी, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराची आज्ञा मानण्यास, नकार दिला. इस्राएलच्या पवित्र देवाच्या संदेशाचा त्यांनी तिरस्कार केला.
24Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, And as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, So their root shall be as rottenness, And their blossom shall go up as dust; Because they have rejected Yaweh's law of Hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25म्हणून परमेश्वर त्यांच्यावर रागावला आहे. तो आपला हात त्यांच्यावर उगारेल आणि त्यांना शिक्षा करील. मग डोंगरसुध्दा भीतीने कापतील. मृतदेह कचऱ्याप्रमाणे रस्त्यावर पडतील. पण तरीही देवाचा राग शांत होणार नाही. त्याचा हात लोकांना शिक्षा करण्याकरीता उगारलेलाच राहील.
25Therefore Yahweh's anger burns against his people, And he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, And their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, But his hand is still stretched out.
26पाहा! दूरच्या राष्ट्रांना देव खूण करीत आहे, झेंडा उभारून तो त्या राष्ट्रांना आवाहन करीत आहे. दूरवरून शत्रू येत आहे. लवकरच तो या देशात प्रवेश करील. तो फार वेगाने येत आहे.
26He will lift up a banner to the nations from far, And he will whistle for them from the end of the earth. Behold, they will come speedily and swiftly.
27शत्रू कधीच थकत नाहीत वा खाली पडत नाहीत. ते कधीच पेंगुळत नाहीत अथवा गाढ झोपून राहत नाहीत. ते नेहमीच शस्त्रसज्ज असतात. त्यांच्या पादत्राणांचे बंद कधीच तुटत नाहीत.
27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; None shall slumber nor sleep; Neither shall the belt of their loins be untied, Nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28त्यांचे बाण तीक्ष्ण आहेत. त्यांची धनुष्ये सज्ज आहेत. त्यांच्या घोड्यांचे खूर दगडासारखे कठीण आहेत. त्यांच्या रथांच्या मागे धुळीचे लोट उठतात.
28Whose arrows are sharp, And all their bows bent. Their horses' hoofs will be like flint, And their wheels like a whirlwind.
29ते गर्जना करतात आणि त्या गर्जना एखाद्या तरूण सिंहाच्या गर्जनेइतक्या मोठ्या असतात. जे लोक त्यांच्याशी लढतात त्यांना ते गुरगुरत पकडतात. लोक झगडतात आणि पळून जाण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. पण त्यांना वाचविणारा तेथे कोणीही नसतो.
29Their roaring will be like a lioness. They will roar like young lions. Yes, they shall roar, And seize their prey and carry it off, And there will be no one to deliver.
30मग ते “सिंह” समुद्रगर्जना करतात. बंदिवासातील लोकांची नजर खाली वळते. त्यांच्या डोळ्यांपुढे अंधकार पसरतो. अंधकाराशिवाय तेथे काहीच असत नाही. सर्व प्रकाश या अंधकारातच लुप्त होतो.
30They will roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea. If one looks to the land, behold, darkness and distress. The light is darkened in its clouds.
