1परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “याकोबाच्या वंशजांनो, माझे ऐका. तुम्ही, जे ‘इस्राएलच्या’ नावाने ओळखले जाता. तुम्ही यहुदाच्या वंशातील आहात. तुम्ही वचने देताना परमेश्वराचे नाव घेता. तुम्ही इस्राएलच्या देवाची स्तुती करता. पण हे तुम्ही सच्चे पणाने आणि खरेपणाने करीत नाही.”
1Hear you this, house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Yahweh, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
2हो ते पवित्र नगराचे नागरिक आहेत. ते इस्राएलच्या देवावर अवलंबून राहतात. सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर अशी त्याची ख्याती आहे.
2(for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; Yahweh of Hosts is his name):
3“मी तुम्हाला फार पूर्वीच भविष्यात घडणाऱ्या गोष्टीबद्दल सांगितले. मी तुम्हाला त्यांच्याबद्दल सांगितले आणि अचानक त्या गोष्टी घडवून आणल्या
3I have declared the former things from of old; yes, they went forth out of my mouth, and I shown them: suddenly I did them, and they happened.
4मी तसे केले, कारण तुम्ही हट्टी होतात व ते मला माहीत होते. मी सांगितलेल्या गोष्टींवर विश्वास ठेवायला तुम्ही नकार दिलात. जस्ताप्रमाणे कठीण आणि लोखंडाप्रमाणे न वाकणारा असा तुमचा हट्ट होता.
4Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass;
5म्हणूनच गोष्टी घडायच्या कितीतरी आधी मी तुम्हाला त्या गोष्टीबद्दल सांगितले, असे सांगण्याचे कारण हेच की आम्ही आमच्या सामर्थ्यावर हे सर्व केले असे तुम्ही म्हणू नये. ‘आमच्या मूर्तीनी हे सर्व घडवून आणले’ असे तुम्ही म्हणू नये म्हणून मी हे केले.”
5therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I shown it you; lest you should say, My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.
6“तुम्ही काय घडले ते पाहिलेत व ऐकलेत. म्हणून तुम्ही ही वार्ता इतरांना सांगावी. आता मी तुम्हांला माहीत नसलेल्या नवीन गोष्टी सांगीन.
6You have heard it; see all this; and you , will you not declare it? I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.
7ह्या गोष्टी पूर्वी घडून गेलेल्या नाहीत. ह्या आता घडत असणाऱ्या गोष्टी आहेत. या आधी तुम्ही कधी या गोष्टींबद्दल ऐकले नसेल. त्यामुळे ‘आम्हांला हे अगोदरच माहीत होते’ असे तुम्ही म्हणू शकणार नाही.
7They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day you didn't hear them; lest you should say, Behold, I knew them.
8“पण जरी मी तुम्हाला भविष्यात घडणार आहे हे सांगितले तरी ते ऐकून घ्यायला तुम्ही अजूनही नकार द्याल. तुम्ही काहीही शिकणार नाही. मी सांगितलेली कोणतीही गोष्ट तुम्ही केव्हाही ऐकली नाही. तुम्ही माझ्याविरूध्द जाल हे मला सुरवातीपासूनच माहीत होते. तुम्ही जन्मल्यापासून माझ्याविरूध्द बंड पुकारले आहे.
8Yes, you didn't hear; yes, you didn't know; yes, from of old your ear was not opened: for I knew that you did deal very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb.
9पण मी सहन करीन. हे मी माझ्यासाठी करीन. तुमच्यावर रागावून तुमचा नाश करीत नाही म्हणून लोक माझी स्तुती करतील. मी केलेल्या प्रतीक्षेबद्दल तुम्ही माझे स्तवन कराल.
9For my name's sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I not cut you off.
10“पाहा! मी तुम्हांला शुध्द करीन. लोक चांदी शुध्द करण्यासाठी गरम भट्टीचा उपयोग करतात. मी तुम्हांला संकटात टाकून शुध्द करीन.
10Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
11हे मी माझ्यासाठी करीन. मला कमी लेखून तुम्हांला चालणार नाही. माझे वैभव आणि प्रशंसा मी खोट्या देवांच्या वाट्याला जाऊ देणार नाही. माझे नाव मी दूषित का होऊ द्यावे?
11For my own sake, for my own sake, will I do it; for how should my name be profaned? and my glory I will not give to another.
12“याकोबा, माझे ऐक, इस्राएल, मी तुला माझे होण्यासाठी बोलाविले, तेव्हा माझे ऐक. मीच आरंभ आहे आणि मीच अंत आहे.
12Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
13मी माझ्या हाताने पृथ्वी निर्माण केली. माझ्या उजव्या हाताने आकाश निर्माण केले आणि मी जर त्यांना हाक मारली तर ती माझ्यासमोर गोळा होतील.
13Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together.
14“तुम्ही सगळे इकडे या आणि माझे ऐका. कोणत्याही खोट्या देवाने असे कसे होईल म्हणून तुम्हाला सांगितले का? नाही.” देव इस्राएलवर प्रेम करतो बाबेलबाबत आणि खास्द्यांबाबत देव त्याला पाहिजे ते करील.
14Assemble yourselves, all you , and hear; who among them has declared these things? He whom Yahweh loves shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
15परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “मी त्याला बोलवीन, असे मी तुम्हाला सांगितले आहे, मी त्याला आणीन आणि मी त्याला यशस्वी करीन.
15I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
16इकडे या आणि माझे ऐका. बाबेल राष्ट्र म्हणून जगायला लागले तेव्हा मी तेथे होतो आणि आरंभापासून मी स्पष्टपणे बोललो का तर लोकांना मी काय म्हणालो ते समजावे.”नंतर यशया म्हणाला, “आता परमेश्वर माझा देव, मला आणि त्याच्या आत्म्याला पुढील गोष्टी सांगायला तुमच्याकडे पाठवितो.
16Come you near to me, hear you this; from the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord Yahweh has sent me, and his Spirit.
17मी परमेश्वर तुमचा तारणारा, इस्राएलचा पवित्र देव म्हणतो,“मीच परमेश्वर तुमचा देव आहे. मी तुम्हाला सत्कृत्ये करायला शिकवितो. तुम्ही कोणत्या मार्गाने जावे ह्याचे मी मार्गदर्शन करतो.
17Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.
18तुम्ही माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या असत्या तर पूर्ण भरून वाहणाऱ्या नदीप्रमाणे शांती तुमच्याकडे आली असती, समुद्राच्या परत परत येणाऱ्या लाटांप्रमाणे चांगल्या गोष्टी पुन्हा पुन्हा तुमच्याकडे आल्या असत्या.
18Oh that you had listened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:
19तुम्ही माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या असत्या तर वाळूच्या कणांप्रमाणे खूप संतती तुम्हाला झाली असती आणि तुमचे नाव माझ्यासमोर काढून टाकले गेले नसते अथवा नष्ट केले गेले नसते.
19your seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of your loins like the grains of it: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.
20माझ्या लोकांनो, बाबेल सोडा, खास्दयापांसून पळा, ही वार्ता लोकांना आनंदाने सांगा. जगातील दूरदूरच्या ठिकाणी ही बातमी पोहोचवा. लोकांना सांगा, “परमेश्वराने त्याचा सेवक याकोब याची सुटका केली.
20Go you forth from Babylon, flee you from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare you , tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say you , Yahweh has redeemed his servant Jacob.
21परमेश्वराने त्याच्या लोकांना वाळवंटातून पार नेले पण ते तहानेलेले राहिले नाहीत का? कारण देवाने आपल्या माणसांसाठी खडकातून पाणी वाहायला लावले. त्याने खडक फोडला आणि पाणी बाहेर वाहू लागले.”
21They didn't thirst when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; he split the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
22पण परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाप्यांना शांती मिळणार नाही.”
22There is no peace, says Yahweh, to the wicked.
