1बाबेलोनबद्दल (समुद्राजवळचे वाळवंट) देवाचा शोक संदेश.वाळवंटातून काहीतरी येत आहे. नेगेबच्या वाळवंटातून येणाऱ्या वादळाप्रमाणे ते आहे. भयंकर देशातून ते येत आहे.
1The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.
2काहीतरी भयंकर घडणार असल्याचा दृष्टान्त मला होत आहे. विश्वासघातकी तुझ्याविरूध्द जाताना मला दिसत आहे. लोक तुझी संपत्ती लुटून नेताना मी पाहतोय, एलाम, जा आणि लोकांवर चढाई कर. मादया, शहराला वेढा घाल आणि त्याचा पाडाव कर. त्या शहरातील सर्व दुष्कृत्ये मी नाहीशी करीन.
2A grievous vision is declared to me; the treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; besiege, Media; all the sighing of it have I made to cease.
3भयंकर गोष्टी पाहून मी घाबरलो आहे. भीतीने माझ्या पोटात गोळा उठतो त्या भीतीच्या वेदना प्रसूतिवेदनेप्रमाणे आहेत. जे मी ऐकतो त्याने भयभीत होतो, जे पाहतो त्यामुळे भीतीने माझा थरकाप होतो.
3Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold on me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I can't hear; I am dismayed so that I can't see.
4मी चिंताग्रस्त आहे आणि भीतीने थरथर कापत आहे. माझी प्रसन्न संध्याकाळ काळरात्र बनली आहे.
4My heart flutters, horror has frightened me; the twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling to me.
5लोकांना वाटते सारे काही ठीक चालले आहे. लोक म्हणत आहेत “जेवणाची तयारी करा. खा. प्या.” त्याच वेळी तिकडे सैनिक म्हणत आहेत “टेहळणीदार ठेवा. सेनाधिकाण्यांनो, उठा व ढाली सज्ज करा.”
5They prepare the table, they set the watch, they eat, they drink: rise up, you princes, anoint the shield.
6माझा प्रभू मला म्हणाला, “जा आणि ह्या शहराचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी पहारेकऱ्याची नेमणूक कर. तो जे जे पाहील त्याची त्याने वर्दी द्यावयास हवी.
6For thus has the Lord said to me, Go, set a watchman: let him declare what he sees:
7जर त्या रखवालदाराने घोडेस्वारांच्या रांगा, गाढवे किंवा उंट पाहिले तर त्याने अतिशय काळजीपूर्वक चाहूल घेतली पाहिजे.”
7and when he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with much heed.
8मग एके दिवशी रखवालदाराने इशारा दिला. सिहंनाद करून रखवालदार म्हणाला, “हे प्रभु! रोज मी टेहळणी बुरूजावरून टेहळणी करीत असतो. रोज रात्री माझा खडा पहारा असतो.
8He cried as a lion: Lord, I stand continually on the watch-tower in the day-time, and am set in my ward whole nights;
9पण पाहा! ते येत आहेत! लोकांच्या व घोडेस्वारांच्या रांगा मला दिसत आहेत!”नंतर दूत म्हणाला, “बाबेलोनचा पराभव झाला. ते जमीनदोस्त झाले, बाबेलोनच्या खोट्या देवांच्या सर्व मूर्तींची मोडतोड होऊन त्या धुळीला मिळाल्या आहेत.”
9and, behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. He answered, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the engraved images of her gods are broken to the ground.
100यशया म्हणाला, “माझ्या लोकांनो, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराने, इस्राएलच्या देवाने जे मला ऐकवले, ते मी तुम्हाला सांगितले. खळ्यातील धान्याप्रमाणे तुम्ही झोडपले जाल.”
10You my threshing, and the grain of my floor! that which I have heard from Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared to you.
11दुमाविषयीचा शोक संदेश.सेईराहून (एदोमहून) मला एकजण भेटायला आला. तो म्हणाला, “रखवालदारा, रात्र किती राहिली? अंधार सरायला अजून किती वेळ आहे?”
11The burden of Dumah. One calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12रखवालदार उत्तरला, “सकाळ होत आहे पण परत रात्र होईल. तुम्हाला काही विचारायचे असल्यास परत याव मग विचारा.”
12The watchman said, "The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire . Come back again."
13अरेबियाविषयी शोक संदेशददार्नीच्या काफल्याने अरेबियाच्या वाळवंटातील काही झाडांखाली रात्र काढली.
13The burden on Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall you lodge, you caravans of Dedanites.
14त्यांनी तहानेलेल्या प्रवाशांना पाणी दिले तेमा देशातील लोकांनी प्रवाशांना अन्न दिले.
14To him who was thirsty they brought water; the inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitives with their bread.
15ते प्रवासी, त्यांना ठार मारायला उठलेल्या तलवारीपासून व युध्द करायला सज्ज असलेल्या धनुष्यांपासून दूर पळत होते. ते घनघोर युध्दापासून दूर पळत होते.
15For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the heat of battle.
16ह्या गोष्टी घडून येतील असे माझ्या प्रभु परमेश्वराने मला सांगितले. परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “एक वर्षात (सालदाराच्या मोजणीप्रमाणे) केदारचे वैभव लयाला जाईल.
16For thus has the Lord said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
17त्या वेळी अगदी थोडे धनुर्धारी, केदारचे महान योध्दे, मागे उरतील.” इस्राएलच्या परमेश्वर देवाने सांगितले आहे.
17and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has spoken it.
