1शेम, हाम व याफेथ ह्मा नोहाच्या तीन मुलांना जलप्रलयानंतर पुष्कळ मुलगे झाले; त्यांची वंशावळ येणे प्रमाणे:याफेथाचे वंशज
1Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.
2याफेथाचे मुलगे; गोमर, मागोग, मादय, यावान, तुबाल, मेशेख व तीरास हे होते.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3गोमरचे मुलगे; आष्कनाझ, रीपाथ व तोगार्मा, हे होते.
3The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4यावानाचे मुलगे; अलीशा, तार्शीश, कित्तीम व दोदानीम.
4The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5भूमध्यासमुद्रच्या किनाऱ्याच्या आसपास जी राष्ट्रे झाली ती सर्व याफेथाच्या संततीपासून होती; प्रत्येक मुलाला स्वत:ची जमीन होती ही सर्व कुळे वाढत गेली व त्यांची वेगवेगळी राष्ट्रे झाली. प्रत्येक राष्ट्राची भाषा वेगळी होती.
5Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.
6हामचे मुलगे याप्रमाणे होते: कूश, मिस्राईम, पूट व कनान
6The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7कुशाचे मुलगे: सबा, हवीला, साब्ता, रामा, व साव्तका; आणि रामाचे मुलगे शबा व ददान हे होते.
7The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8कुशाला निम्रोद नावाचा मुलगा होता, तो पृथ्वीवर महाबलवान व पराक्रमी असा वीरपुरुष होता.
8Cush became the father of Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9तो परमेश्वरापुढे बलवान शिकारी झाला म्हणून इतर माणसांची निम्रोदाशी तुलना करुन “तो माणूस, परमेश्वरासमोर बलवान निम्रोद शिकाऱ्यासारखा आहे” असे म्हणण्याची प्रथा आहे.
9He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh."
10शिनार प्रांतातील बाबेल, एरक, अक्काद व कालहने ही निम्रोदाच्या राज्यातील सुरवातीची शहरे होती.
10The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11तेथून तो अश्शुरालाही गेला व तेथे त्याने निनवे, रहोबोथ, ईरकालह व रेसन ही शहरे वसवली
11Out of that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,
12(रेसन हे शहर, निनवे व मोठे शहर कालह यांच्या दरम्यान आहे.)
12and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city).
13मिस्राईम याला लूद, अनामीन, लहाकीम, नाप्तुहीम
13Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
14पात्रुस कास्लूह व कप्तोरी हे मुलगे झाले. कास्लूहपासून पलिष्टी लोक आले.
14Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim.
15कनानाचा पहिला मुलगा सीदोन हा होता; कनान हा हेथचाही बाप होता. कनानापासून उदयास आलेली राष्ट्रे,
15Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth,
16यबूसी, अमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
16the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite,
17हिव्वी, आकर्ी, शीनी
17the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite,
18अर्वादी, समारी व हमाथी ही होती. पुढे कनानाची कुळे जगाच्या वेगवेगळ्या भागात पसरली.
18the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.
19कनान्यांची सीमा उत्तरे कडील सीदोनापासून दक्षिणेकडील गरारापर्यंत व पश्चिमेकडील गाजापासून तर पूर्वेस सदोम व गमोरा पर्यंत तसेच आदमा पासून व सबोईम पासून व लेशापर्यंत पसरली होती.
19The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha.
20ही सर्व हाम याची वंशजे होती; हया सर्व वंशजांना स्वत:ची भाषा व देश होते; ती सर्व वेगवेगळी राष्ट्रे झाली.
20These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
21शेम हा याफेथाचा वडील भाऊ होता. एबर हा शेम यांचा वंशज होता. तो इब्री लोकांचा मुळ पुरुष होता.
21To Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
22शेम याचे मुलगे; एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद व अराम;
22The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23अरामाचे मुलगे: ऊस, हूल, गेतेर व मश हे होते;
23The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24अर्पक्षदास शेलह झाला, शेलहास एबर झाला:
24Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
25एबर यास दोन मुलगे झाले; एकाचे नाव पेलेग होते. पेलेग म्हणजे वाटणी; कारण याच्याच हयातीत पृथ्वीची वाटणी झाली; त्याच्या भावाचे नाव यक्तान होते.
25To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided. His brother's name was Joktan.
26यक्तानास अलमोदाद, शेलेफ, हसर्मावेथ, येरह,
26Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27हदोराम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला
27Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28ओबाल, अबीमाएल, शबा,
28Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29ओफीर, हवीला व योबाब असे मुलगे झाले; हे सगळे यक्तानाचे मुलगे;
29Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30ते मेशापासून पूर्वेकड़ील डोंगराळ भागात राहात होते. मेशा सफारच्या देशाकडे होते.
30Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31हे शेमाचे वंशज होते. कुळे, भाषा, देश व राष्ट्रे याप्रमाणे त्यांची विभागणी अशी आहे.
31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations.
32ही नोहाच्या मुलांची व त्यांच्या वंशजांची, पिढ्या व कुळाप्राणे यादी आहे; त्यांच्या राष्ट्रांप्रमाणे ती आखलेली आहे; जलप्रलयानंतर त्यांची पृथ्वीवर वेगवेगळी राष्ट्रे झाली.
32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. Of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
