यहूद्यांच्या वधाच्या राजाज्ञेची प्रतही मर्दखयने हथाकला दिली. हा हुकूम शूशन नगरात सर्वत्र दिला गेला होता. हथाकने एस्तेरला तो हुकूम दाखवून सर्व काही तिला सांगावे अशी त्याची इच्छा होती. एस्तेरने राजाकडे जाऊन मर्दखय आणि तिचे लोक यांच्यासाठी दयेची याचना व मदत करण्यास हथाकने तिला प्रवृत करावे असेही त्याने सांगितले.

Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given out in Shushan to destroy them, to show it to Esther, and to declare it to her, and to charge her that she should go in to the king, to make supplication to him, and to make request before him, for her people.
