1मुलांनो, प्रभूशी प्रामणिक राहून आपल्या आईवडिलांच्या आज्ञा पाळा. कारण ते योग्य आहे.
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2“तुझ्या वडिलाचा व आईचा मान राख.”
2"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise:
3अभिवचनाबरोबरची ही पहिली आज्ञा असल्याने, “तुझ्यासाठी सर्व काही चांगले असावे आणि पृथ्वीवर तुला दीर्घ आयुष्य लाभावे.”
3"that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
4आणि वडिलांनो, आपल्या मुलांना राग येईल असे करु नका. उलट, देवापासून जी माहिती व शिक्षण येते त्यान त्यांना वाढवा.
4You fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
5गुलामांनो, तुमच्या पृथ्वीवरील मालकांची आज्ञा आदराने, थरथर कांपत, आणि तुमच्या अंत:करणाच्या प्रामाणिकतेने पाळा. ज्याप्रमाणे तुम्ही ख्रिस्ताची आज्ञा पाळता तशी पाळा.
5Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;
6जेव्हा माणसे तुमच्याकडे पाहत असतील तेव्हाच फक्त काम करु नका. मनुष्याला पसंत पडावे यासाठी प्रयत्न करु नका. उलट ख्रिस्ताच्या गुलामासारखे काम करा, कारण (ख्रिस्ताचे गुलाम) देवाची इच्छा आपल्या अंत:कारणापासून पूर्ण करतात.
6not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7गुलाम म्हणून उत्साहाने जणू काय माणसांची नव्हे, तर ‘प्रभुची’ सेवा करीत आहात, असे काम करा.
7with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men;
8लक्षात ठेवा की, तुम्हांतील प्रत्येकजण जर काही चांगले करतो तर तो गुलाम असो किंवा स्वतंत्र असो, ते त्याला प्रभूकडून परत मिळेल.
8knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
9आणि मालकांनो, तुम्हीही त्यांच्याशी तसेच वागा आणि धमकाविण्याचे सोडून द्या. लक्षात ठेवा की तुमचा आणि त्यांचा धनी स्वर्गात आहे. आणि त्याच्याजवळ पक्षपात नाही.
9You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
10शेवटी, प्रभूमध्ये तुम्ही त्याच्या महान शक्तीसामर्थ्याने सशक्त व्हा.
10Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
11देवाने दिलेले संपूर्ण चिलखत धारण करा. यासाठी की तुम्हांला सैतानाच्या दुष्ट योजनांविरुद्ध उभे राहता यावे.
11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12कारण आपले झगडणे, रक्तमांसाबरोबर नाही, तर सताधीशांविरुद्ध, अधिकान्याविरुद्ध, या अंधकारातील जगाच्या सामर्थ्याबरोबर आणि आकाशातील दुष्ट आत्म्यांविरुद्ध आहे.
12For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13म्हणून देवाने दिलेली संपूर्ण शस्रसामग्री घ्या. म्हणजे तुम्हाला सर्व ते केल्यावर टिकून राहता येईल व वाईट दिवस आल्यावर तुम्हाला प्रतिकार करता येईल.
13Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
14म्हणून भक्क मपणे उभे राहा! सत्याने आपली कंबर बांधा, नीतीमत्त्वाचे उररत्राण धारण करा.
14Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15आणि सुवार्ता व शांती यांची घोषणा करण्यासाठी सज्जतेच्या वहाणा पायी घाला.
15and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16या सर्व गोष्टींबरोबर ढाल म्हणून विश्वास घ्या. ज्यामुळे त्या दुष्टाने मारलेले सर्व जळते बाण तुम्हांला विझविणे शक्य होईल.
16above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17आणि तारणाचे शिररत्राण घ्या, आणि आत्म्याची तलवार जो देवाचा संदेश आहे, तो घ्या.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18प्रत्येक प्रंसांगी सर्व प्रकारे प्रार्थनापूर्वक विनंति करुन आत्म्यात प्रार्थना करा. चिकाटी व प्रार्थनेसह सर्व संतांसाठी प्रार्थना करीत जागृत राहा.
18with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:
19आणि माझ्यासाठी प्रार्थना करीत राहा. कारण जेव्हा मी तोंड उघडेन तेव्हा मला संदेश प्राप्त व्हावा. यासाठी की धैर्याने मला सुवार्तेचे रहस्य माहीत करुन देणे शक्य व्हावे.
19on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
20त्याच्या वतीने मी साखळदंडनी बांधलेला राजदूत म्हणून सेवा करीत आहे. धैर्याने मला ती सांगता यावी म्हणून प्रार्थना करा.
20for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21यासाठी तुम्हाला हे कळावे की मी कसा आहे आणि काय करीत आहे, म्हणून तुखिक तुम्हांला सर्व काही सांगेल. तो आमचा प्रिय भाऊ आणि प्रभूमध्ये विश्वासूसेवक आहे.
21But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things;
22मी त्याला केवळ या कारणासाठीच तुमच्याकडे पाठवीत आहे की माझ्याविषयीचे वर्तमान तुम्हांला कळावे आणि तुमच्या अंत:करणाचे समाधान व्हावे.
22whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.
23देवपिता आणि प्रभु येशू ख्रिस्तापासून आता बंधु बहिणींना विश्वासासह प्रीति आणि शांति लाभो.
23Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24जे सर्व जण आपल्या प्रभु येशू ख्रिस्तावर अविनाशी प्रीति करतात, त्या सर्वाबरोबर देवाची कृपा असो.
24Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
