“आपल्यापैकी कोणाचा बैल किंवा मेंढरु मोकाट सुटलेले आढळले तर तिकडे दुर्लक्ष न करता ते त्याच्या मालकाकडे पोंचते करा.
1
You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.
2
तो मालक जवळपास राहात नसला किंवा कोण ते माहीत नसला तर त्या जनावराला आपल्या घरी आणा. त्याचा मालक शोध करत आला की त्याचे त्याला परत करा.

If your brother isn't near to you, or if you don't know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him.
3
कोणाचे गाढव, कपडे किंवा इतर कोणतीही वस्तू अशी इकडे तिकडे दिसली तरी असेच करा. व त्या शेजाऱ्याला मदत करा.

So shall you do with his donkey; and so shall you do with his garment; and so shall you do with every lost thing of your brother's, which he has lost, and you have found: you may not hide yourself.
4
“कोणाचे गाढव किंवा बैल रस्त्यात पडलेले आढळले तर तिकडे दुर्लक्ष करु नका. त्याला उठवून उभे राहायला मदत करा.

You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely help him to lift them up again.
5
“बायकांनी पुरुषांचा किंवा पुरुषांनी बायकोचा पेहेराव करु नये. तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याच्या दृष्टीने ते निंद्य आहे.

A woman shall not wear men's clothing, neither shall a man put on women's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
6
“वाटेत तुम्हाला झाडावर किंवा जमिनीवर पक्ष्याचे घरटे आढळले आणि मादी अंडी उबवत किंवा पिल्लांवर बसलेली दिसली तर पिल्लांसकट तिला नेऊ नका.

If a bird's nest chance to be before you in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young:
7
हवी तर फक्त पिल्ले घ्या पण आईला सोडा. हे नियम पाळलेत तर तुमचे कल्याण होईल व तुम्ही चिरायु व्हाल.

you shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
8
“नवीन घर बांधलेत तर त्याच्या छताला कठडाअवश्य करा. म्हणजे वरुन तोल जाऊन कोणी पडल्यास त्याच्या हत्येचे पातक तुम्हाला लागणार नाही.

When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you don't bring blood on your house, if any man fall from there.
9
“द्राक्षमळ्यात इतर धान्याचे बियाणे पेरु नये. पेरलेत तर सारेच वाया जाईल. धान्य आणि द्राक्षं यापैकी काहीच तुम्हाला वापरता येणार नाही.

You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.
10
“बैल आणि गाढव एका नांगराला जुंपू नका.
10
You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.
11
“लोकर आणि ताग यांच्या मिश्र विणीचे वस्त्र वापरु नका.
11
You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together.
12
“वेगवेगळे धागे एकत्र करुन त्यांचे गोंडेआपल्या पांघरायच्या वस्त्राला चारीही टोकांना लावा.
12
You shall make you fringes on the four borders of your cloak, with which you cover yourself.
13
“एखाद्या माणसाला लग्न केल्यावर बायकोशी शरीरसंबंध ठेवल्यावर काही काळानंतर बायको आवडेनाशी झाली आणि

If any man take a wife, and go in to her, and hate her,
14
“मी या बाईशी लग्र केले पण ती कुमारी नसल्याचे आमच्या शरीरसंबंधाच्या वेळी मला आढळून आले’ असा खोटा आरोप त्याने तिच्यावर ठेवला तर लोकांमध्ये तिची बदनामी होईल.

and lay shameful things to her charge, and bring up an evil name on her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn't find in her the tokens of virginity;
15
अशा वेळी त्या मुलीच्या आईवडिलांनी तिच्या कौमार्याचा पुरावा घेऊन गावच्या चावडीवर वडीलधाऱ्या पंचाकडे जावे.

then shall the father of the young lady, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the young lady's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate;
16
‘मी या पुरुषाशी माझ्या मुलीचे लग्न लावून दिले आहे. पण आतां ती त्याला नकोशी झाली आहे.
16
and the young lady's father shall tell the elders, I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her;
17
त्याने तिच्यावर भलते सलते आरोप केले आहेत. आणि हा म्हणतो की कौमार्याची लक्षणे तिच्या ठायी आढळली नाहीत. पण हा घ्या माझ्या मुलीच्या कौमार्याचा पुरावा,’ असे मुलीच्या वडलांनी नेथे सांगून, त्या मंडळींना ती चादर दाखववावी.

and, behold, he has laid shameful things to her charge, saying, I didn't find in your daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. They shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.
18
यावर गावच्या पंचानी त्या नवऱ्याला धरुन शिक्षा करावी.
18
The elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;
19
त्याला चाळीस औंस चांदीदंड करावा. एका इस्राएल कन्येवर ठपका ठेवून तिची बदनामी केल्याबद्दल ही रक्कम त्याने मुलीच्या वडीलांना द्यावी. त्याने बायको म्हणून तिचा स्वीकार केला पाहिजे. तसेच जन्मभर त्याने तिचा त्याग करता कामा नये.
19
and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has brought up an evil name on a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20
पण बायकोबद्दल नवऱ्याने केलेला आरोप खराही असू शकतो. तिच्या कौमार्याचा पुरावा तिचे आईवडील दाखवू शकले नाहीत तर
20
But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young lady;
21
गावातील ज्येष्ठ मंडळींनी तिला आपल्या वडिलांच्या घराच्या दारापाशी आणावी आणि गावकऱ्यांनी तिला मरेपर्यंत दगडांनी मारावे. कारण तिने इस्राएलमध्ये ही लाजिरवाणी गोष्ट केली आहे. आपल्या वडलांच्या घरी असतानाचे तिचे वर्तन वेश्येसमान आहे. हा कलंक आपल्यामधून तुम्ही धुवून काढलाच पाहिजे.

then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father's house: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.
22
“एखाद्या पुरुषाचे दुसऱ्या विवाहित स्त्री बरोबर लैंगिक संबंध असतील तर दोघांनाही मृत्युदंड द्यावा. आणि इस्राएलमधून या दुराचाराचे निमूर्लन करावे.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman: so shall you put away the evil from Israel.
23
“एखाद्या कुमारिकेचा वाङनिश्चय झालेला असताना गावातील दुसऱ्या एखाद्या पुरुषाने तिच्याशी लैंगिक संबंध ठेवलेले आढळले तर

If there be a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24
त्या दोघांना गावाच्या वेशीपाशी भर चौकात आणून दगडांनी मरेपर्यंत मारावे-ती दुसऱ्याची बायको होणार होती. तिच्याशी शरीरसंबधं ठेवल्याबद्दल पुरुषाला आणि गावांत असून मदतीसाठी आरडाओरडा केला नाही म्हणून त्या मुलीला मरेपर्यंत दगडांनी मारावे. अशाप्रकारे आपल्या लोकांमधून हा दुराचार निपटून टाकवा.

then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn't cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor's wife: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
25
“पण अशा वाग्दत्त मुलीला एखाद्याने रानात गाठले आणि तिच्यावर बलात्कार केला तर मात्र फक्त त्या पुरुषाला मारावे.
25
But if the man find the lady who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her; then the man only who lay with her shall die:
26
त्या मुलीला काही करु नये. देहान्तशासन व्हावे असे तिने काही एक केले नाही. कोणी आपल्या शेजाऱ्यावर चालून जाऊन त्याचा जीव घ्यावा तसेच हे झाले.

but to the lady you shall do nothing; there is in the lady no sin worthy of death: for as when a man rises against his neighbor, and kills him, even so is this matter;
27
त्याला ही मुलगी रानात आढळली. त्याने तिच्यावर हात टाकला. कदाचित् तिने मदतीसाठी हाका मारल्याही असतील पण तिच्या बचावासाठी तिथे कोणी नव्हते. तेव्हा तिला शिक्षा करु नये.

for he found her in the field, the pledged to be married lady cried, and there was none to save her.
28
“जिचा वाङनिश्चय झालेला नाही अशी कुमारिका कोणाला आढळली आणि त्याने तिच्यावर बलात्कार केला हे लोकांनी पाहिल्यास
28
If a man find a lady who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29
त्याने मुलीच्या वडीलांना वीस औंस चांदीद्यावी. आता ती त्याची बायको झाली. कारण त्याने तिच्याशी शरीरसंबंध ठेवल्याचे पाप केले आहे. तो आता तिचा जन्मभर त्याग करु शकत नाही.

then the man who lay with her shall give to the lady's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.
30
“आपल्या वडलांच्या बायकोशी गमन करुन कोणी त्यांच्या तोंडाला काळे फासू नये.”
30
A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
