परमेश्वर असे सांगतो, “अदोमच्या लोकांनी खूप अपराध केले आहेत म्हणून मी त्यांना शिक्षा करणारच का? कारण अदोमने तलवारीने त्याच्या भावाचा (इस्राएलचा) पाठलाग केला. अदोमला अजिबात दया आली नाही अदोमचा राग कायम राहिला. तो हिंस्त्र पशूप्रमाणे इस्राएलला फाडत राहिला
