1मी प्रौढी मिरविलीच पाहिजे. जरी त्यापासून कोणताही लाभ नाही. मी आता प्रभूचे दृष्टान्त व प्रकटीकरण याकडे वळतो
1It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2ख्रिस्तामधील एक माणूस मला माहीत आहे जो चौदा वर्षा पूवी तिसऱ्या स्वर्गात घेतला गेला. तो शरीरात किंवा शरीराबाहेर घेतला गेला हे मला माहीत नाही, देव जाणतो.
2I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don't know, or whether out of the body, I don't know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven.
3आणि मला माहीत आहे, हा मनुष्य शरीरात किंवा शरीराबाहेर मला माहीत नाही पण देव जाणतो.
3I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don't know; God knows),
4तो सुखलोकात घेतला गेला, त्याने व्यक्त न करता येण्यासारख्या गोष्टी ऐकल्या. अशा गोष्टी, ज्या माणसांना सांगण्याची परवानगी नाही.
4how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5मी अशा माणसाविषयी प्रौढी बाळगीन. परंतु माइया अशक्तपणाशिवाय मी स्वत:विषयी अभिमान बाळगणार नाही.
5On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
6जरी मी ख्रिस्ताचा अभिमान बाळगण्याचे निवडले. तरी मी मूर्ख असणार नाही. कारण मी सत्य बोलत असेन पण मी स्वत:ला आवरतो. यासाठी की कोणी माझ्या मागे जे काही पाहतो किंवा माइयापासून जे काही ऐकतो त्यापेक्षा कोणीही मला अधिक मानू नये.
6For if I would desire to boast, I will not be foolish; for I will speak the truth. But I forbear, so that no man may account of me above that which he sees in me, or hears from me.
7आणि माझ्या प्रकटीकरणाच्या अतिशय मोठेपणामुळे मी खूप जास्त चढून जाऊ नये म्हणून माझ्या शरीरात रुतणारा काटा, (सैतानाचा दूत) मला ठोसे मारण्यासाठी ठेवण्यात आला.
7By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted excessively.
8तीन वेळा मी प्रभूला विनंति केली की, तो माइयातून काढून टाक.
8Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9पण तो मला म्हणाला, “माझी कृपा तुला पुरे, कारण माझे सामर्थ्य अशक्तपणात पूर्णत्वास येते.” म्हणून मी माझ्या अशक्तपणाबद्दल आनंदाने प्रौढी मिरवीन. यासाठी की ख्रिस्ताचे सामर्थ्य माझ्यावर स्थिर राहावे.
9He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10या कारणासाठी ख्रिस्ताकरिता अशक्तपणात आनंद करतो. अपमानात, कठीण परिस्थितित, छळात, अडचणीच्या वेळी, कारण जेव्हा मी अशक्त, तेव्हा मी सशक्त असतो.
10Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
11मी स्वत:च मूर्ख झालो पण तसे होण्यास तुम्ही मला भाग पाडले तुमच्याकडून माझी प्रशंसा व्हावयाची होती. जरी मी काही नसलो तरी अतिश्रष्ठ प्रेषितांपेक्षा मी कमी नव्हतो.
11I have become foolish in boasting. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you, for in nothing was I inferior to the very best apostles, though I am nothing.
12प्रेषितांची चिन्हे ही आहेत: चिन्हे, चमत्कार, अदभुत कृत्ये ही खरोखरच सर्व सहनशीलतेने मी तुम्हांमध्ये केली.
12Truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all patience, in signs and wonders and mighty works.
13कारण मी तुम्हांला भार झालो नाही, ही गोष्ट सोडली तर, इतर मंडळ्यापेक्षा ही गोष्ट सोडली तर तुम्ही कशात उणे आहात? या चुकीबद्दल मला क्षमा करा.
13For what is there in which you were made inferior to the rest of the assemblies, unless it is that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong.
14पाहा, आता तिसन्यांदा तुम्हाकडे येण्यासाठी मी तयार आहे. आणि मी तुम्हांला भार होणार नाही. कारण मी तुमची संपत्ती मिळवायला येणार नाही. तर तुम्हांला मिळवण्यासाठी येणार आहे. शेवटी मुलांनी त्यांच्या आईवडिलांसाठी बचत करायची नसते तर आईवडिलांनी मुलांसाठी बचत करायची असते.
14Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I seek not your possessions, but you. For the children ought not to save up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
15म्हणून मी फार आनंदाने माइयाकडे जे काही आहे, ते तुमच्यासाठी खर्च करीन आणि स्वत:देखील खर्ची पडेन. जर मी तुमच्यावर अधिक प्रेम करतो तर तुम्ही माझ्यावर कमी प्रेम कराल?
15I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?
16तर असो, मी चतुर असल्याने, मी तुमच्यासाठी ओझे झालो नाही, तर मी तुम्हांला चकविले व पकडले, असे खुशाल म्हणा.
16But be it so, I did not myself burden you. But, being crafty, I caught you with deception.
17ज्यांना मी तुमच्याकडे पाठविले त्यांच्यातील कोणाकडून तरी मी तुम्हांपासून काही फायदा घेतला आहे का?
17Did I take advantage of you by anyone of them whom I have sent to you?
18मी तीताला तुमच्याकडे जाण्यास विनंति केली आणि मी त्याच्याबरोबर भावाला पाठविले. तीताने तुम्हांपासून काही फायदा करुन घेतला काय? आम्ही एकाच आत्म्याने जगत नाही काय? एका आत्म्याने एकाच मार्गाने चाललो नाही काय?
18I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? Didn't we walk in the same spirit? Didn't we walk in the same steps?
19तुम्ही असा विचार करीत आहा काय की आम्ही आमचे समर्थन तुमच्यासमोर करीत आहोत? ख्रिस्तामध्ये असल्याप्रमाणे आम्ही देवासमोर बोलत आहोत. आणि प्रिय मित्रांनो, जे काही आम्ही करतो ते तुम्हांला बळकट करण्यासाठी.
19Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.
20कारण मला भय वाटते की, मी आल्यावर कदाचित जसे मी इच्छितो तसे तुम्ही मला आढळणार नाही. आणि जसे तुम्ही इच्छित नाही तसा असलेला मी तुम्हांस आढळेन. म्हणजे कदाचित भांडणे, मत्सर, राग, कलह, चहाड्या, कुजबूज रुसणे, अव्यवस्था ही दिसून येतील.
20For I am afraid that by any means, when I come, I might find you not the way I want to, and that I might be found by you as you don't desire; that by any means there would be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, whisperings, proud thoughts, riots;
21म्हणजे मी पुन्हा आल्यावर माझा देव मला तुम्हाजवळ नीच करील. आणि ज्यांनी पूर्वी पाप केले होते आणि आपण केलेल्या जारकर्माचा, अशुद्धपणाचा, व कामातुरपणाचा त्याग केला नाही, व त्यांच्याबद्दल पश्र्चात्ताप केला नाही, अशा अनेकांसाठी मला शोक करावा लागेल.
21that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness and sexual immorality and lustfulness which they committed.
