शिमीला सोळा मुलगे आणि सहा मुली होत्या. पण शिमीच्या भावांना फार मुले बाळे झाली नाहीत. त्यांची (कुदुंबे) मर्यादितच होती.यहूदातील इतर काही घराण्यांप्रमाणे त्यांचा विस्तार नव्हता.
