1ആരും ഔടിക്കാതെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരോ ബാലസിംഹംപോലെ നിര്‍ഭയമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
1The wicked flee when no one pursues; But the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2ദേശത്തെ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം അതിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ പലരായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിയും പരിജ്ഞാനവും ഉള്ളവര്‍ മുഖാന്തരമോ അതിന്റെ വ്യവസ്ഥ ദീര്‍ഘമായി നിലക്കുന്നു.
2In rebellion, a land has many rulers, But order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.
3അഗതികളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രന്‍ വിളവിനെ വെച്ചേക്കാതെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്ന മഴപോലെയാകുന്നു.
3A needy man who oppresses the poor Is like a driving rain which leaves no crops.
4ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ദുഷ്ടനെ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ കാക്കുന്നവരോ അവരോടു എതിര്‍ക്കുംന്നു.
4Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; But those who keep the law contend with them.
5ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ ന്യായം തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരോ സകലവും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു.
5Evil men don't understand justice; But those who seek Yahweh understand it fully.
6തന്റെ വഴികളില്‍ വക്രനായി നടക്കുന്ന ധനവാനെക്കാള്‍ പരമാര്‍ത്ഥതയില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രന്‍ ഉത്തമന്‍ .
6Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, Than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.
7ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന്‍ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള മകന്‍ ; അതിഭക്ഷകന്മാര്‍ക്കും സഖിയായവനോ അപ്പനെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.
7Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; But he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.
8പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങി സമ്പത്തു വര്‍ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന്‍ അഗതികളോടു കൃപാലുവായവന്നു വേണ്ടി അതു ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു.
8He who increases his wealth by excessive interest Gathers it for one who has pity on the poor.
9ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേള്‍ക്കാതെ ചെവി തിരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാല്‍ അവന്റെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനതന്നെയും വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു.
9He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
10നേരുള്ളവരെ ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു തെറ്റിക്കുന്നവന്‍ താന്‍ കുഴിച്ച കുഴിയില്‍ തന്നേ വീഴും; നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരോ നന്മ അവകാശമാക്കും.
10Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, He will fall into his own trap; But the blameless will inherit good.
11ധനവാന്‍ തനിക്കുതന്നേ ജ്ഞാനിയായി തോന്നുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള അഗതിയോ അവനെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു.
11The rich man is wise in his own eyes; But the poor who has understanding sees through him.
12നീതിമാന്മാര്‍ ജയഘോഷം കഴിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മഹോത്സവം; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നുവരുമ്പോഴോ ആളുകള്‍ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.
12When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
13തന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെ മറെക്കുന്നവന്നു ശുഭം വരികയില്ല; അവയെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന്നോ കരുണലഭിക്കും.
13He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, But whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
14എപ്പോഴും ഭയത്തോടിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്‍ ; ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കുന്നവനോ അനര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ അകപ്പെടും.
14Blessed is the man who always fears; But one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
15അഗതികളില്‍ കര്‍ത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുന്ന ദുഷ്ടന്‍ ഗര്‍ജ്ജിക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തിന്നും ഇരതേടി നടക്കുന്ന കരടിക്കും തുല്യന്‍ .
15As a roaring lion or a charging bear, So is a wicked ruler over helpless people.
16ബുദ്ധിഹീനനായ പ്രഭു മഹാ പീഡകനും ആകുന്നു; ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹം വെറുക്കുന്നവനോ ദീര്‍ഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കും.
16A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days.
17രക്തപാതകഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്നവന്‍ കുഴിയിലേക്കു ബദ്ധപ്പെടും; അവനെ ആരും തടുക്കരുതു.
17A man who is tormented by life blood will be a fugitive until death; No one will support him.
18നിഷ്കളങ്കനായി നടക്കുന്നവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; നടപ്പില്‍ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ പെട്ടെന്നു വീഴും.
18Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; But one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.
19നിലം കൃഷിചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു ആഹാരം സമൃദ്ധിയായി കിട്ടും; നിസ്സാരന്മാരെ പിന്‍ ചെല്ലുന്നവനോ വേണ്ടുവോളം ദാരിദ്ര്യം അനുഭവിക്കും.
19One who works his land will have an abundance of food; But one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
20വിശ്വസ്തപുരുഷന്‍ അനുഗ്രഹസമ്പൂര്‍ണ്ണന്‍ ; ധനവാനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നവന്നോ ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല.
20A faithful man is rich with blessings; But one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.
21മുഖദാക്ഷിണ്യം കാണിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല; ഒരു കഷണം അപ്പത്തിന്നായും മനുഷ്യന്‍ അന്യായം ചെയ്യും.
21To show partiality is not good; Yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.
22കണ്ണുകടിയുള്ളവന്‍ ധനവാനാകുവാന്‍ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു വരുമെന്നു അവന്‍ അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
22A stingy man hurries after riches, And doesn't know that poverty waits for him.
23ചക്കരവാക്കു പറയുന്നവനെക്കാള്‍ ശാസിക്കുന്നവന്നു പിന്നീടു പ്രീതി ലഭിക്കും.
23One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor Than one who flatters with the tongue.
24അപ്പനോടോ അമ്മയോടോ പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചിട്ടു അതു അക്രമമല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നവന്‍ നാശകന്റെ സഖി.
24Whoever robs his father or his mother, and says, "It's not wrong." He is a partner with a destroyer.
25അത്യാഗ്രഹമുള്ളവന്‍ വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയില്‍ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവനോ പുഷ്ടി പ്രാപിക്കും.
25One who is greedy stirs up strife; But one who trusts in Yahweh will prosper.
26സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവന്‍ മൂഢന്‍ ; ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ നടക്കുന്നവനോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.
26One who trusts in himself is a fool; But one who walks in wisdom, he is kept safe.
27ദരിദ്രന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്നു കുറെച്ചല്‍ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളയുന്നവന്നോ ഏറിയൊരു ശാപം ഉണ്ടാകും.
27One who gives to the poor has no lack; But one who closes his eyes will have many curses.
28ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നുവരുമ്പോള്‍ ആളുകള്‍ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അവര്‍ നശിക്കുമ്പോഴോ നീതിമാന്മാര്‍ വര്‍ദ്ധിക്കുന്നു.
28When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; But when they perish, the righteous thrive.
