എന്നാല് സീഹോന് തന്റെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി യിസ്രായേല് കടന്നുപോവാന് സമ്മതിക്കാതെ തന്റെ ജനത്തെയെല്ലാം ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂട്ടി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നേരെ മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവന് യാഹാസില് വന്നു യിസ്രായേലിനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു.

Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz; and he fought against Israel.
