1സംഹാരകന്‍ നിനക്കെതിരേ കയറിവരുന്നു; കോട്ട കാത്തുകൊള്‍ക; വഴി സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കുക; അര മുറുക്കുക; നിന്നെത്തന്നേ നല്ലവണ്ണം ശക്തീകരിക്ക.
1He who dashes in pieces has come up against you. Keep the fortress! Watch the way! Strengthen your loins! Fortify your power mightily!
2യഹോവ യാക്കോബിന്റെ മഹിമയെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹിമയെപ്പോലെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും; പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാര്‍ അവരോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
2For Yahweh restores the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel; for the destroyers have destroyed them, and ruined their vine branches.
3അവന്റെ വീരന്മാരുടെ പരിച ചുവപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരാക്രമശാലികള്‍ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്നാഹദിവസത്തില്‍ രഥങ്ങള്‍ ഉരുക്കലകുകളാല്‍ ജ്വലിക്കുന്നു; കുന്തങ്ങള്‍ ഔങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
3The shield of his mighty men is made red. The valiant men are in scarlet. The chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the pine spears are brandished.
4രഥങ്ങള്‍ തെരുക്കളില്‍ ചടുചട ചാടുന്നു; വീഥികളില്‍ അങ്ങും ഇങ്ങും ഔടുന്നു; തീപ്പന്തങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ അവയെ കാണുന്നു; അവ മിന്നല്‍പോലെ ഔടുന്നു.
4The chariots rage in the streets. They rush back and forth in the broad ways. Their appearance is like torches. They run like the lightnings.
5അവന്‍ തന്റെ കുലീനന്മാരെ ഔര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; അവര്‍ നടക്കയില്‍ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവര്‍ അതിന്റെ മതിലിങ്കലേക്കു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ചെല്ലുന്നു; അവിടെ ആള്‍മറ കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
5He summons his picked troops. They stumble on their way. They dash to its wall, and the protective shield is put in place.
6നദികളുടെ ചീപ്പുകള്‍ തുറക്കുന്നു; രാജമന്ദിരം അഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു.
6The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.
7അതു നിര്‍ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവള്‍ അനാവൃതയായി, അവള്‍ പോകേണ്ടിവരും; അവളുടെ ദാസിമാര്‍ പ്രാവു കുറുകുംപോലെ കുറുകി മാറത്തടിക്കുന്നു.
7It is decreed: she is uncovered, she is carried away; and her handmaids moan as with the voice of doves, beating on their breasts.
8നീനെവേ പുരാതനമേ ഒരു ജലാശയംപോലെയായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നുനില്പിന്‍ , നില്പിന്‍ ! ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.
8But Nineveh has been from of old like a pool of water, yet they flee away. "Stop! Stop!" they cry, but no one looks back.
9വെള്ളി കൊള്ളയിടുവിന്‍ ; പൊന്നു കൊള്ളയിടുവിന്‍ ; വീട്ടുസാമാനത്തിന്നു കണക്കില്ല; സകലവിധ മനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളായ സമ്പത്തും ഉണ്ടു.
9Take the spoil of silver. Take the spoil of gold, for there is no end of the store, the glory of all goodly furniture.
10അവള്‍ പാഴും വെറുമയും ശൂന്യവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയം ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നു; മുഴങ്കാല്‍ ആടുന്നു; എല്ലാ അരകളിലും അതിവേദന ഉണ്ടു; എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുഖം വിളറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
10She is empty, void, and waste. The heart melts, the knees knock together, their bodies and faces have grown pale.
11ആരും ഭയപ്പെടുത്താതെ സിംഹവും സിംഹിയും ബാലസിംഹവും സഞ്ചരിച്ചുപോകുന്ന സിംഹഗുഹയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ മേച്ചല്‍പുറവും എവിടെ?
11Where is the den of the lions, and the feeding-place of the young lions, where the lion and the lioness walked, the lion's cubs, and no one made them afraid?
12സിംഹം തന്റെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കു മതിയാകുവോളം കടിച്ചുകീറി വെക്കുകയും സിംഹികള്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഞെക്കിക്കൊല്ലുകയും ഇരകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ ഗഹ്വരങ്ങളെയും കടിച്ചുകീറിയതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്റെ ഗുഹകളെയും നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
12The lion tore in pieces enough for his cubs, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his caves with the kill, and his dens with prey.
13ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; ഞാന്‍ അതിന്റെ രഥങ്ങളെ ചുട്ടുപുകയാക്കും; നിന്റെ ബാലസിംഹങ്ങള്‍ വാളിന്നു ഇരയായ്തീരും; ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ ഇരയെ ഭൂമിയില്‍ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; നിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം ഇനി കേള്‍ക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
13"Behold, I am against you," says Yahweh of Hosts, "and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions; and I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers will no longer be heard."
