അനന്തരം യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടില് വന്നു, ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുവയലിലെ കളയുടെ ഉപമ തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field."
