1അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വംശാവലി
1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2അബ്രാഹാം യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്ഹാക്ക്‍ യാക്കോബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യാക്കോബ് യെഹൂദയെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
2Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.
3യെഹൂദാ താമാരില്‍ പാരെസിനെയും സാരഹിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; പാരെസ് ഹെസ്രോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
3Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar. Perez became the father of Hezron. Hezron became the father of Ram.
4ഹെസ്രോന്‍ ആരാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആരാം അമ്മീനാദാബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അമ്മീനാ ദാബ് നഹശോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; നഹശോന്‍ ശല്മോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
4Ram became the father of Amminadab. Amminadab became the father of Nahshon. Nahshon became the father of Salmon.
5ശല്മോന്‍ രഹാബില്‍ ബോവസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ബോവസ് രൂത്തില്‍ ഔബേദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ഔബേദ് യിശ്ശായിയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
5Salmon became the father of Boaz by Rahab. Boaz became the father of Obed by Ruth. Obed became the father of Jesse.
6യിശ്ശായി ദാവീദ് രാജാവിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ദാവീദ്, ഊരീയാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നവളില്‍ ശലോമോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
6Jesse became the father of David the king. David became the father of Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7ശലോമോന്‍ രെഹബ്യാമെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; രെഹബ്യാം അബീയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അബീയാവ് ആസയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
7Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.
8ആസാ യോശാഫാത്തിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോശാഫാത്ത് യോരാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോരാം ഉസ്സീയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
8Asa became the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat became the father of Joram. Joram became the father of Uzziah.
9ഉസ്സീയാവു യോഥാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോഥാം ആഹാസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഹാസ് ഹിസ്കീയാവെ ജനിപ്പീച്ചു;
9Uzziah became the father of Jotham. Jotham became the father of Ahaz. Ahaz became the father of Hezekiah.
10ഹിസ്കീയാവു മനശ്ശെയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മനശ്ശെ ആമോസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആമോസ് യോശിയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
10Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh. Manasseh became the father of Amon. Amon became the father of Josiah.
11യോശിയാവു യെഖൊന്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ബാബേല്‍പ്രവാസകാലത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
11Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the exile to Babylon.
12ബാബേല്‍പ്രവാസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യെഖൊന്യാവു ശെയല്തീയേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ശെയല്തീയേല്‍ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
12After the exile to Babylon, Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel became the father of Zerubbabel.
13സെരുബ്ബാബേല്‍ അബീഹൂദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അബീഹൂദ് എല്യാക്കീമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; എല്യാക്കീം ആസോരിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
13Zerubbabel became the father of Abiud. Abiud became the father of Eliakim. Eliakim became the father of Azor.
14ആസോര്‍ സാദോക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സാദോക്ക്‍ ആഖീമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഖീം എലീഹൂദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;
14Azor became the father of Sadoc. Sadoc became the father of Achim. Achim became the father of Eliud.
15എലീഹൂദ് എലീയാസരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; എലീയാസര്‍ മത്ഥാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മത്ഥാന്‍ യാക്കോബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
15Eliud became the father of Eleazar. Eleazar became the father of Matthan. Matthan became the father of Jacob.
16യാക്കോബ് മറിയയുടെ ഭര്‍ത്താവായ യോസേഫിനെ ജനപ്പിച്ചു. അവളില്‍ നിന്നു ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പേരുള്ള യേശു ജനിച്ചു.
16Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17ഇങ്ങനെ തലമുറകള്‍ ആകെ അബ്രാഹാം മുതല്‍ ദാവീദുവരെ പതിന്നാലും ദാവീദു മുതല്‍ ബാബേല്‍പ്രവാസത്തോളം പതിന്നാലും ബാബേല്‍പ്രവാസം മുതല്‍ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോളം പതിന്നാലും ആകുന്നു.
17So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ, fourteen generations.
18എന്നാല്‍ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ജനനം ഈ വണ്ണം ആയിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അമ്മയായ മറിയ യോസേഫിന്നു വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടശേഷം അവര്‍ കൂടിവരുമ്മുമ്പെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാല്‍ ഗര്‍ഭിണിയായി എന്നു കണ്ടു.
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
19അവളുടെ ഭര്‍ത്താവായ യോസേഫ് നീതിമാനാകകൊണ്ടും അവള്‍ക്കു ലോകാപവാദം വരുത്തുവാന്‍ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടും അവളെ ഗൂഢമായി ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന്‍ ഭാവിച്ചു.
19Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
20ഇങ്ങനെ നിനെച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതന്‍ അവന്നു സ്വപ്നത്തില്‍ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായിദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫേ, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ മറിയയെ ചേര്‍ത്തുകൊള്‍വാന്‍ ശങ്കിക്കേണ്ടാ; അവളില്‍ ഉല്പാദിതമായതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാല്‍ ആകുന്നു.
20But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, don't be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21അവള്‍ ഒരു മകനനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; അവന്‍ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാനിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ അവന്നു യേശു എന്നു പേര്‍ ഇടേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
21She shall bring forth a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins."
22“കന്യക ഗര്‍ഭിണിയായി ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും. അവന്നു ദൈവം നമ്മോടു കൂടെ എന്നര്‍ത്ഥമുള്ള ഇമ്മാനൂവേല്‍ എന്നു പേര്‍ വിളിക്കും”
22Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23എന്നു കര്‍ത്താവു പ്രവാചകന്‍ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാന്‍ ഇതൊക്കെയും സംഭവിച്ചു.
23"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, And shall bring forth a son. They shall call his name Immanuel;" Which is, being interpreted, "God with us."
24യോസേഫ് ഉറക്കം ഉണര്‍ന്നു. കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതന്‍ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു, ഭാര്യയെ ചേര്‍ത്തുകൊണ്ടു.
24Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
25മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കുംവരെ അവന്‍ അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല. മകന്നു അവന്‍ യേശു എന്നു പേര്‍ വിളിച്ചു.
25and didn't know her sexually until she had brought forth her firstborn son. He named him Jesus.
