1ആ ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നില്‍ അവന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ജനത്തോടു ഉപദേശിച്ചു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു
1It happened on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, that the priests and scribes came to him with the elders.
2നീ എന്തു അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഈ അധികാരം നിനക്കു തന്നതു ആര്‍? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
2They asked him, "Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?"
3അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി അവന്‍ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്കു ചോദിക്കും; അതു എന്നോടു പറവിന്‍ .
3He answered them, "I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
4യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍നിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരില്‍നിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
4the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?"
5അവര്‍ തമ്മില്‍ നിരൂപിച്ചുസ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ പിന്നെ നിങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു അവന്‍ ചോദിക്കും.
5They reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say, 'Why didn't you believe him?'
6മനുഷ്യരില്‍നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ ജനം ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാന്‍ ഒരു പ്രവാചകന്‍ എന്നു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു
6But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet."
7എവിടെനിന്നോ ഞങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
7They answered that they didn't know where it was from.
8യേശു അവരോടുഎന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്ന അധികാരം കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."
9അനന്തരം അവന്‍ ജനത്തോടു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി കുടിയാന്മാരെ പാട്ടത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു ഏറിയ കാലം പരദേശത്തു പോയി പാര്‍ത്തു.
9He began to tell the people this parable. "A man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.
10സമയമായപ്പോള്‍ കുടിയാന്മാരോടു തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവം വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു; അവനെ കുടിയാന്മാര്‍ തല്ലി വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
10At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.
11അവന്‍ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെയും അവര്‍ തല്ലി അപമാനിച്ചു വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
11He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12അവന്‍ മൂന്നാമതു ഒരുത്തനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവര്‍ അവനെയും മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
12He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.
13അപ്പോള്‍ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രനെ അയക്കും; പക്ഷേ അവര്‍ അവനെ ശങ്കിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13The lord of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.'
14കുടിയാന്മാര്‍ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുഇവന്‍ അവകാശി; അവകാശം നമുക്കു ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം അവനെ കൊന്നുകളക എന്നു തമ്മില്‍ ആലോചിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
14"But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.'
15അവര്‍ അവനെ തോട്ടത്തില്‍ നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്‍ അവരോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും?
15They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
16അവന്‍ വന്നു ആ കുടിയാന്മാരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തോട്ടം അന്യന്മാര്‍ക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവര്‍ അങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും സംഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
16He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others." When they heard it, they said, "May it never be!"
17അവനോ അവരെ നോക്കി“എന്നാല്‍ വീടുപണിയുന്നവര്‍ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
17But he looked at them, and said, "Then what is this that is written, 'The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the chief cornerstone?'
18ആ കല്ലിന്മേല്‍ വീഴുന്ന ഏവനും തകര്‍ന്നുപോകും; അതു ആരുടെ മേല്‍ എങ്കിലും വീണാല്‍ അവനെ ധൂളിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
18"Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, But it will crush whomever it falls on to dust."
19ഈ ഉപമ തങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു ആ നാഴികയില്‍ തന്നേ അവന്റെ മേല്‍ കൈവെപ്പാന്‍ നോക്കി എങ്കിലും ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
19The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him that very hour, but they feared the people�for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.
20പിന്നെ അവര്‍ അവനെ നാടുവാഴിയുടെ അധീനതയിലും അധികാരത്തിലും ഏല്പിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ വാക്കില്‍ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തക്കം നോക്കി നീതിമാന്മാര്‍ എന്നു നടിക്കുന്ന ഒറ്റുകാരെ അയച്ചു.
20They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
21അവര്‍ അവനോടുഗുരോ, നീ നേര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു ഉപദേശിക്കയും മുഖപക്ഷം നോക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി യഥാര്‍ത്ഥമായി പഠിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നു.
21They asked him, "Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren't partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
22നാം കൈസര്‍ക്കും കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
22Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
23അവരുടെ ഉപായം ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്‍ അവരോടുഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കാണിപ്പിന്‍ ;
23But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, "Why do you test me?
24അതിനുള്ള സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുകൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
24Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?" They answered, "Caesar's."
25എന്നാല്‍ കൈസര്‍ക്കുംള്ളതു കൈസര്‍ക്കും ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു അവന്‍ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
25He said to them, "Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
26അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ വെച്ചു അവനെ വാക്കില്‍ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിയാതെ അവന്റെ ഉത്തരത്തില്‍ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
26They weren't able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer, and were silent.
27പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതു
27Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
28ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തന്റെ സഹോദരന്‍ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിട്ടു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാല്‍ അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്‍ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
28They asked him, "Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man's brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
29എന്നാല്‍ ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരില്‍ ഒന്നാമത്തവന്‍ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
29There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
30രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
30The second took her as wife, and he died childless.
31അവ്വണ്ണം ഏഴുപേരും ചെയ്തു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
31The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
32ഒടുവില്‍ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
32Afterward the woman also died.
33എന്നാല്‍ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില്‍ അവള്‍ അവരില്‍ ഏവന്നു ഭാര്യയാകും? ഏഴുവര്‍ക്കും ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.
33Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife."
34അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കള്‍ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കയും വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
34Jesus said to them, "The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage.
35എങ്കിലും ആ ലോകത്തിന്നും മരിച്ചവരില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്നും യോഗ്യരായവര്‍ വിവാഹം കഴിയക്കയുമില്ല വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; അവര്‍ക്കും ഇനി മരിപ്പാനും കഴികയില്ല.
35But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.
36അവന്‍ പുനരുത്ഥാനപുത്രന്മാരാകയാല്‍ ദൈവദൂതതുല്യരും ദൈവ പുത്രന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.
36For they can't die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
37മരിച്ചവര്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു എന്നതോ മോശെയും മുള്‍പ്പടര്‍പ്പുഭാഗത്തു കര്‍ത്താവിനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു പറയുന്നതിനാല്‍ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
37But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord 'The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.'
38ദൈവമോ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ; എല്ലാവരും അവന്നു ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
38Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him."
39അതിന്നു ചില ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്‍ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
39Some of the scribes answered, "Teacher, you speak well."
40പിന്നെ അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാന്‍ അവര്‍ തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.
40They didn't dare to ask him any more questions.
41എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ അവരോടുക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്‍ എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
41He said to them, "Why do they say that the Christ is David's son?
42“കര്‍ത്താവു എന്റെ കര്‍ത്താവിനോടുഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദ പീഠമാക്കുവോളം എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തിരിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു”
42David himself says in the book of Psalms, 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,
43എന്നു സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനപുസ്തകത്തില്‍ ദാവീദ് തന്നേ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
43Until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet."'
44ദാവീദ് അവനെ കര്‍ത്താവു എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ പുത്രന്‍ ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
44"David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?"
45എന്നാല്‍ ജനം ഒക്കെയും കേള്‍ക്കെ അവന്‍ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു
45In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
46നിലയങ്കികളോടെ നടപ്പാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിക്കയും അങ്ങാടിയില്‍ വന്ദനവും പള്ളിയില്‍ മുഖ്യാസനവും അത്താഴത്തില്‍ പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും പ്രിയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ .
46"Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
47അവര്‍ വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ഉപായരൂപേണ ദീര്‍ഘമായി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവര്‍ക്കും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധിവരും.
47who devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these will receive greater condemnation."
