അവന് ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; തീര്ന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, യോഹന്നാന് തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളെയും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാന് പഠിപ്പിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."
