എന്നാല് മനശ്ശെയുടെ മക്കള്ക്കു ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ നിവാസികളെ നീക്കിക്കളവാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; കനാന്യര്ക്കും ആ ദേശത്തില് തന്നേ പാര്പ്പാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം സാധിച്ചു.

Yet the children of Manasseh couldn't drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
