അവര് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചുഅയ്യോ യഹോവേ, ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ജീവന് നിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങള് നശിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; നിര്ദ്ദോഷരക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ച കുറ്റം ഞങ്ങളുടെമേല് വരുത്തരുതേ; യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമായതു പോലെ നീ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

Therefore they cried to Yahweh, and said, "We beg you, Yahweh, we beg you, let us not perish for this man's life, and don't lay on us innocent blood; for you, Yahweh, have done as it pleased you."
