1ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ സുഭാഷിതം തുടര്‍ന്നു ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
1Job again took up his parable, and said,
2എന്റെ ന്യായം നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ദൈവത്താണ, എനിക്കു മനോവ്യസനം വരുത്തിയ സര്‍വ്വശക്തനാണ--
2"As God lives, who has taken away my right, The Almighty, who has made my soul bitter.
3എന്റെ പ്രാണന്‍ മുഴുവനും എന്നിലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശ്വാസം എന്റെ മൂക്കിലും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ--
3(For the length of my life is still in me, And the spirit of God is in my nostrils);
4എന്റെ അധരം നീതികേടു സംസാരിക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ നാവു വ്യാജം ഉച്ചരിക്കയുമില്ല.
4Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, Neither shall my tongue utter deceit.
5നിങ്ങളുടെ വാദം ഞാന്‍ ഒരുനാളും സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല; മരിക്കുവോളം എന്റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കത്വം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല.
5Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
6എന്റെ നീതി ഞാന്‍ വിടാതെ മുറുകെ പിടിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ നാളുകളില്‍ ഒന്നിനെയും ആക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നില്ല.
6I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
7എന്റെ ശത്രു ദുഷ്ടനെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ എതിരാളി നീതികെട്ടവനെപ്പോലെയും ആകട്ടെ.
7"Let my enemy be as the wicked, Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
8ദൈവം വഷളനെ ഛേദിച്ചു അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെ എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞാല്‍ അവന്നു എന്തു പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളു?
8For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, When God takes away his life?
9അവന്നു കഷ്ടത വരുമ്പോള്‍ ദൈവം അവന്റെ നിലവിളി കേള്‍ക്കുമോ?
9Will God hear his cry, When trouble comes on him?
10അവന്‍ സര്‍വ്വശക്തനില്‍ ആനന്ദിക്കുമോ? എല്ലാകാലത്തും ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമോ?
10Will he delight himself in the Almighty, And call on God at all times?
11ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കയ്യെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കും; സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്റെ ആന്തരം ഞാന്‍ മറെച്ചുവെക്കയില്ല.
11I will teach you about the hand of God. That which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12നിങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരും അതു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്‍ വ്യര്‍ത്ഥബുദ്ധികളായിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു?
12Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; Why then have you become altogether vain?
13ഇതു ദുര്‍ജ്ജനത്തിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കലുള്ള ഔഹരിയും നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാര്‍ സര്‍വ്വശക്തങ്കല്‍നിന്നു പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന അവകാശവും തന്നേ.
13"This is the portion of a wicked man with God, The heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
14അവന്റെ മക്കള്‍ പെരുകിയാല്‍ അതു വാളിന്നായിട്ടത്രേ; അവന്റെ സന്തതി അപ്പം തിന്നു തൃപ്തരാകയില്ല.
14If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
15അവന്നു ശേഷിച്ചവര്‍ മഹാമാരിയാല്‍ കുഴിയില്‍ ആകും; അവന്റെ വിധവമാര്‍ വിലപിക്കയുമില്ല.
15Those who remain of him shall be buried in death. His widows shall make no lamentation.
16അവന്‍ പൊടിപോലെ വെള്ളി സ്വരൂപിച്ചാലും മണ്ണുപോലെ വസ്ത്രം സമ്പാദിച്ചാലും
16Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare clothing as the clay;
17അവന്‍ സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നേയുള്ളു; നീതിമാന്‍ അതു ഉടുക്കും; കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവന്‍ വെള്ളി പങ്കിടും.
17He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, And the innocent shall divide the silver.
18ചെലന്തിയെപ്പോലെ അവന്‍ വീടുപണിയുന്നു; കാവല്‍ക്കാരന്‍ മാടം കെട്ടുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.
18He builds his house as the moth, As a booth which the watchman makes.
19അവന്‍ ധനവാനായി കിടക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്കയില്ല; അവന്‍ കണ്ണു തുറക്കുന്നു; ഇല്ലാതെയാകുന്നു.
19He lies down rich, but he shall not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
20വെള്ളംപോലെ ഭയം അവനെ പിടിക്കുന്നു; രാത്രിയില്‍ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അവനെ കവര്‍ന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
20Terrors overtake him like waters; A tempest steals him away in the night.
21കിഴക്കന്‍ കാറ്റു അവനെ പിടിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്‍ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു. അവന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അതു അവനെ പാറ്റിക്കളയുന്നു.
21The east wind carries him away, and he departs; It sweeps him out of his place.
22ദൈവം ആദരിയാതെ അവനെ എയ്യുന്നു; തൃക്കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോകുവാന്‍ അവന്‍ നോക്കുന്നു.
22For it hurls at him, and does not spare, As he flees away from his hand.
23മനുഷ്യര്‍ അവന്റെ നേരെ കൈകൊട്ടുംഅവന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അവനെ വിരട്ടി പുറത്താക്കും.
23Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.
