അപ്പോള് നഗരത്തിന്റെ മതില് ഒരിടം പൊളിച്ചുതുറന്നു; കല്ദയര് നഗരം വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കെ പടയാളികള് ഒക്കെയും രാത്രിസമയത്തു രാജാവിന്റെ തോട്ടത്തിന്നരികെ രണ്ടു മതിലുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പടിവാതില്ക്കല് കൂടി നഗരം വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അരാബയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി ഔടിപ്പോയി.

Babylon has been a golden cup in Yahweh's hand, who made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
