അതുകൊണ്ടു നാം വല്ലപ്പോഴും ഒഴുകിപ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കേട്ടതു അധികം ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കരുതിക്കൊള്വാന് ആവശ്യമാകുന്നു.

Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away.

ദൂതന്മാര്മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കയും ഔരോരോ ലംഘനത്തിന്നും അനുസരണക്കേടിന്നും ന്യായമായ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കയും ചെയ്തു എങ്കില്

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense;

കര്ത്താവു താന് പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിയതും ദൈവം അടയാളങ്ങളാലും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളാലും വിവിധവീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികളാലും തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ നല്കിക്കൊണ്ടും സാക്ഷി നിന്നതും കേട്ടവര്

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation� which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;

നമുക്കു ഉറപ്പിച്ചുതന്നതുമായ ഇത്ര വലിയ രക്ഷ നാം ഗണ്യമാക്കാതെ പോയാല് എങ്ങനെ തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും?

God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by various works of power, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

നാം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്ന ഭാവിലോകത്തെ അവന് ദൂതന്മാര്ക്കല്ലല്ലോ കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയതു.

For he didn't subject the world to come, whereof we speak, to angels.

എന്നാല് “മനുഷ്യനെ നീ ഔര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് എന്തു? മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് എന്തുമാത്രം?

But one has somewhere testified, saying, "What is man, that you think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him?
7
നീ അവനെ ദൂതന്മാരെക്കാള് അല്പം മാത്രം താഴ്ത്തി; തേജസ്സും ബഹുമാനവും അവനെ അണിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കു നീ അവനെ അധിപതി ആക്കി,

You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor.
8
സകലവും അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ഒരുവന് ഒരേടത്തു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു. സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴാക്കിയതില് ഒന്നിനെയും കീഴ്പെടുത്താതെ വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാല് ഇപ്പോള് സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടതായി കാണുന്നില്ല.

You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that he subjected all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we don't see all things subjected to him, yet.

എങ്കിലും ദൈവകൃപയാല് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി മരണം ആസ്വദിപ്പാന് ദൂതന്മാരിലും അല്പം ഒരു താഴ്ചവന്നവനായ യേശു മരണം അനുഭവിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ മഹത്വവും ബഹുമാനവും അണിഞ്ഞവനായി നാം കാണുന്നു.

But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.

സകലത്തിന്നും ലാക്കും സകലത്തിന്നും കാരണഭൂതനുമായവന് അനേകം പുത്രന്മാരെ തേജസ്സിലേക്കു നടത്തുമ്പോള് അവരുടെ രക്ഷാനായകനെ കഷ്ടാനുഭവങ്ങളാല് തികഞ്ഞവനാക്കുന്നതു യുക്തം ആയിരുന്നു.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നവന്നും വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്ക്കും എല്ലാം ഒരുവനല്ലോ പിതാവു; അതു ഹേതുവായി അവന് അവരെ സഹോദരന്മാര് എന്നു വിളിപ്പാന് ലജ്ജിക്കാതെ

For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
12
“ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു കീര്ത്തിക്കും; സഭാമദ്ധ്യേ ഞാന് നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും”

saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise."
13
എന്നും “ഞാന് അവനില് ആശ്രയിക്കും” എന്നും ഇതാ, ഞാനും ദൈവം എനിക്കു തന്ന മക്കളും” എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

Again, "I will put my trust in him." Again, "Behold, here am I and the children whom God has given me."

മക്കള് ജഡരക്തങ്ങളോടു കൂടിയവര് ആകകൊണ്ടു അവനും അവരെപ്പോലെ ജഡരക്തങ്ങളോടു കൂടിയവനായി മരണത്തിന്റെ അധികാരിയായ പിശാചിനെ

Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
15
തന്റെ മരണത്താല് നീക്കി ജീവപര്യന്തം മരണഭീതിയാല് അടിമകളായിരുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും വിടുവിച്ചു.

and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16
ദൂതന്മാരെ സംരക്ഷണചെയ്വാനല്ല അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ സംരക്ഷണ ചെയ്വാനത്രേ അവന് വന്നതു.

For most assuredly, not to angels does he give help, but he gives help to the seed of Abraham.
17
അതുകൊണ്ടു ജനത്തിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം വരുത്തുവാന് അവന് കരുണയുള്ളവനും ദൈവകാര്യത്തില് വിശ്വസ്തമഹാപുരോഹിതനും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു സകലത്തിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന് മാരോടു സദൃശനായിത്തീരുവാന് ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു.

Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
18
താന് തന്നേ പരീക്ഷിതനായി കഷ്ടമനുഭവിച്ചിരിക്കയാല് പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്ക്കും സഹായിപ്പാന് കഴിവുള്ളവന് ആകുന്നു.

For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
