1അനന്തരം യഹോവ നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്‍നീയും സര്‍വ്വകുടുംബവുമായി പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ കടക്ക; ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ഈ തലമുറയില്‍ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതിമാനായി കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
1Yahweh said to Noah, "Come with all of your household into the ark, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.
2ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഈരണ്ടും,
2You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.
3ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളില്‍നിന്നു പൂവനും പിടയുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും സന്തതി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ചേര്‍ത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.
3Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.
4ഇനി ഏഴുദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കും; ഞാന്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടുള്ള സകല ജീവജാലങ്ങളെയും ഭൂമിയില്‍നിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കും.
4In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. Every living thing that I have made, I will destroy from the surface of the ground."
5യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും നോഹ ചെയ്തു.
5Noah did everything that Yahweh commanded him.
6ഭൂമിയില്‍ ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോള്‍ നോഹെക്കു അറുനൂറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.
6Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.
7നോഹയും പുത്രന്മാരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും ജലപ്രളയം നിമിത്തം പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ കടന്നു.
7Noah went into the ark with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, because of the waters of the flood.
8ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നും പറവകളില്‍നിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില്‍നിന്നൊക്കെയും,
8Clean animals, animals that are not clean, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground
9ദൈവം നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ കടന്നു.
9went by pairs to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God commanded Noah.
10ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഭൂമിയില്‍ ജലപ്രളയം തുടങ്ങി.
10It happened after the seven days, that the waters of the flood came on the earth.
11നോഹയുടെ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ അറുനൂറാം സംവത്സരത്തില്‍ രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി, അന്നുതന്നേ ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകള്‍ ഒക്കെയും പിളര്‍ന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും തുറന്നു.
11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep were burst open, and the sky's windows were opened.
12നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും ഭൂമിയില്‍ മഴ പെയ്തു.
12The rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13അന്നുതന്നേ നോഹയും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫേത്തും നോഹയുടെ ഭാര്യയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മൂന്നു ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ കടന്നു.
13In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark;
14അവരും അതതു തരം കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും അതതു തരം കന്നുകാലികളും നിലത്തിഴയുന്ന അതതുതരം ഇഴജാതിയും അതതു തരം പറവകളും അതതു തരം പക്ഷികളും തന്നേ.
14they, and every animal after its kind, all the cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.
15ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ള സര്‍വ്വജഡത്തില്‍നിന്നും ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ കടന്നു.
15They went to Noah into the ark, by pairs of all flesh with the breath of life in them.
16ദൈവം അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അകത്തുകടന്നവ സര്‍വ്വജഡത്തില്‍നിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി കടന്നു; യഹോവ വാതില്‍ അടെച്ചു.
16Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; and Yahweh shut him in.
17ഭൂമിയില്‍ നാല്പതു ദിവസം ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായി, വെള്ളം വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു പെട്ടകം പൊങ്ങി, നിലത്തുനിന്നു ഉയര്‍ന്നു.
17The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth.
18വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി ഭൂമിയില്‍ ഏറ്റേവും പെരുകി; പെട്ടകം വെള്ളത്തില്‍ ഒഴുകിത്തുടങ്ങി.
18The waters prevailed, and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.
19വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയില്‍അത്യധികം പൊങ്ങി, ആകാശത്തിന്‍ കീഴെങ്ങമുള്ള ഉയര്‍ന്ന പര്‍വ്വതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മൂടിപ്പോയി.
19The waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered.
20പര്‍വ്വതങ്ങള്‍ മൂടുവാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം വെള്ളം പതിനഞ്ചു മുഴം അവേക്കു മീതെ പൊങ്ങി.
20The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.
21പറവകളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയുമായി ഭൂചരജഡമൊക്കെയും സകലമനുഷ്യരും ചത്തുപോയി.
21All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, cattle, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
22കരയിലുള്ള സകലത്തിലും മൂക്കില്‍ ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചത്തു.
22All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
23ഭൂമിയില്‍ മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളുമായി ഭൂമിയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലജീവജാലങ്ങളും നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവ ഭൂമിയില്‍നിന്നു നശിച്ചുപോയി; നോഹയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവരും മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചു.
23Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, cattle, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.
24വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയില്‍ നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
24The waters prevailed on the earth one hundred fifty days.
