അപ്പോള് യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ മരുമകളായ താമാരോടുഎന്റെ മകന് ശേലാ പ്രാപ്തിയാകുവോളം നീ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില് വിധവയായി പാര്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഇവനും സഹോദരന്മാരെപ്പോലെ മരിച്ചുപോകരുതു എന്നു അവന് വിചാരിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ താമാര് അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില്പോയി പാര്ത്തു.
World English Bible
Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, "Remain a widow in your father's house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;" for he said, "Lest he also die, like his brothers." Tamar went and lived in her father's house.
