ശിനാര് രാജാവായ അമ്രാഫെല്, എലാസാര്രാജാവായ അര്യ്യോക്, ഏലാം രാജാവായ കെദൊര്ലായോമെര്, ജാതികളുടെ രാജാവായ തീദാല് എന്നിവരുടെ കാലത്തു

It happened in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2
ഇവര് സൊദോം രാജാവായ ബേരാ, ഗൊമോരാരാജാവായ ബിര്ശാ, ആദ്മാരാജാവായ ശിനാബ്, സെബോയീം രാജാവായ ശെമേബെര്, സോവര് എന്ന ബേലയിലെ രാജാവു എന്നിവരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു.

that they made war with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar).

ഇവരെല്ലാവരും സിദ്ദീംതാഴ്വരിയില് ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി. അതു ഇപ്പോള് ഉപ്പുകടലാകുന്നു.

All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).

അവര് പന്ത്രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം കെദൊര്ലായോമെരിന്നു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിന്നു; പതിമൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് മത്സരിച്ചു.

Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year, they rebelled.

അതുകൊണ്ടു പതിനാലാം സംവത്സരത്തില് കെദൊര്ലായോമെരും അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരുംവന്നു, അസ്തെരോത്ത് കര്ന്നയീമിലെ രെഫായികളെയും ഹാമിലെ സൂസ്യരെയും ശാവേകിര്യ്യാത്തയീമിലെ ഏമ്യരെയും

In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,

സേയീര്മലയിലെ ഹോര്യ്യരെയും മരുഭൂമിക്കു സമീപമുള്ള ഏല്പാരാന് വരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to Elparan, which is by the wilderness.

പിന്നെഅവര് തിരിഞ്ഞു കാദേശ് എന്ന ഏന് മിശ്പാത്തില്വന്നു അമലേക്യരുടെ ദേശമൊക്കെയും ഹസെസോന് -താമാരില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന അമോര്യ്യരെയും കൂടെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

They returned, and came to En-mishpat (the same is Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.

അപ്പോള് സൊദോംരാജാവും ഗൊമോരാരാജാവും ആദ്മാരാജാവും സെബോയീംരാജാവും സോവര് എന്ന ബേലയിലെ രാജാവും പുറപ്പെട്ടു സിദ്ധീംതാഴ്വരയില് വെച്ചു

There went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar); and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim;
9
ഏലാംരാജാവായ കെദൊര്ലായോമെര്, ജാതികളുടെ രാജാവായ തീദാല്, ശിനാര്രാജാവായ അമ്രാഫെല്, എലാസാര് രാജാവായ അര്യ്യോക് എന്നിവരുടെ നേരെ പട നിരത്തി; നാലു രാജാക്കന്മാര് അഞ്ചു രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ നേരെ തന്നെ.

against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
10
സിദ്ദീംതാഴ്വരയില് കീല്കുഴികള് വളരെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; സൊദോംരാജാവും ഗൊമോരാ രാജാവും ഔടിപ്പോയി അവിടെ വീണു; ശേഷിച്ചവര് പര്വ്വതത്തിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോയി.

Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and those who remained fled to the mountain.

സൊദോമിലും ഗൊമോരയിലും ഉള്ള സമ്പത്തും ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളും എല്ലാം അവര്എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി.

They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12
അബ്രാമിന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ മകനായി സൊദോമില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന ലോത്തിനെയും അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തിനെയും അവര് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

They took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13
ഔടിപ്പോന്ന ഒരുത്തന് വന്നു എബ്രായനായ അബ്രാമിനെ അറിയിച്ചു. അവന് എശ്ക്കോലിന്റെയും ആനേരിന്റെയും സഹോദരനായി അമോര്യ്യനായ മമ്രേയുടെ തോപ്പില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു; അവര് അബ്രാമിനോടു സഖ്യത ചെയ്തവര് ആയിരുന്നു.

One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. Now he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and these were allies of Abram.

തന്റെ സഹോദരനെ ബദ്ധനാക്കികൊണ്ടു പോയി എന്നു അബ്രാം കേട്ടപ്പോള് അവന് തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ചവരും അഭ്യാസികളുമായ മുന്നൂറ്റിപതിനെട്ടു പേരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ദാന് വരെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു.

When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
15
രാത്രിയില് അവനും അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരും അവരുടെ നേരെ ഭാഗംഭാഗമായി പിരിഞ്ഞു ചെന്നു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു ദമ്മേശെക്കിന്റെ ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ള ഹോബാവരെ അവരെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു.

He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16
അവന് സമ്പത്തൊക്കെയും മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു വന്നു; തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ലോത്തിനെയും അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തിനെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും ജനത്തെയും കൂടെ മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative, Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17
അവന് കെദൊര്ലായോമെരിനെയും കൂടെയുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും തോല്പിച്ചിട്ടു മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോള് സൊദോംരാജാവു രാജതാഴ്വര എന്ന ശാവേതാഴ്വരവരെ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.

The king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (the same is the King's Valley).
18
ശാലേംരാജാവായ മല്ക്കീസേദെക് അപ്പവും വീഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവന് അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുരോഹിതനായിരുന്നു.

Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.
19
അവന് അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചുസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും നാഥനായി അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്താല് അബ്രാം അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ;

He blessed him, and said, "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth:
20
സൊദോംരാജാവു അബ്രാമിനോടുആളുകളെ എനിക്കു തരിക; സമ്പത്തു നീ എടുത്തുകൊള്ക എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.
20
and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand." Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21
അതിന്നു അബ്രാം സൊദോംരാജാവിനോടുപറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് അബ്രാമിനെ സമ്പന്നനാക്കിയെന്നു നീ പറയാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ഒരു ചരടാകട്ടെ ചെരിപ്പുവാറാകട്ടെ നിനക്കുള്ളതില് യാതൊന്നുമാകട്ടെ എടുക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്

The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people, and take the goods to yourself."
22
സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും നാഥനായി അത്യുന്നതദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ ഉയര്ത്തിസത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23
ബാല്യക്കാര് ഭക്ഷിച്ചതും എന്നോടുകൂടെ വന്ന ആനേര്, എശ്ക്കോല്, മമ്രേ എന്നീ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ഔഹരിയും മാത്രമേ വേണ്ടു; ഇവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഔഹരി എടുത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.'
24
24
Except only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre: let them take their portion."
