ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു കാളയെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അറുക്കുകയാകട്ടെ വിലക്കുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് ഒരു കാളെക്കു അഞ്ചു കാളയെയും, ഒരു ആടിന്നു നാലു ആടിനെയും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

"If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it, or sells it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
