അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലെ സഭയില് ബര്ന്നബാസ്, നീഗര് എന്നു പേരുള്ള ശിമോന് , കുറേനക്കാരനായ ലൂക്യൊസ്, ഇട പ്രഭുവമായ ഹെരോദാവോടുകൂടെ വളര്ന്ന മനായേന് , ശൌല് എന്നീ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Now in the assembly that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

അവര് കര്ത്താവിനെ ആരാധിച്ചും ഉപവസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്ഞാന് ബര്ന്നബാസിനെയും ശെഘിനെയും വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വേലെക്കായിട്ടു അവരെ എനിക്കു വേര്തിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു പറഞ്ഞു.

As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them."

അങ്ങനെ അവര് ഉപവസിച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു അവരുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു അവര് സെലൂക്യയിലേക്കു ചെന്നു; അവിടെ നിന്നു കപ്പല് കയറി കുപ്രൊസ് ദ്വീപിലേക്കുപോയി

So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia. From there they sailed to Cyprus.

സലമീസില് ചെന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പള്ളിയില് ദൈവവചനം അറിയിച്ചു. യോഹന്നാന് അവര്ക്കും ഭൃത്യനായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

When they were at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They had also John as their attendant.

അവര് ദ്വീപില്കൂടി പാഫൊസ്വരെ ചെന്നപ്പോള് ബര്യേശു എന്നു പേരുള്ള യെഹൂദനായി കള്ള പ്രവാചകനായോരു വിദ്വാനെ കണ്ടു.

When they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar Jesus,

അവന് ബുദ്ധിമാനായ സെര്ഗ്ഗ്യൊസ് പൌലൊസ് എന്ന ദേശാധിപതിയോടു കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു; അവര് ബര്ന്നബാസിനെയും ശൌലിനെയും വരുത്തി ദൈവവചനം കേള്പ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of understanding. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul, and sought to hear the word of God.

എന്നാല് എലീമാസ് എന്ന വിദ്വാന് -- ഇതാകുന്നു അവന്റെ പേരിന്റെ അര്ത്ഥം -- അവരോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിന്നു ദേശാധിപതിയുടെ വിശ്വാസം തടുത്തുകളവാന് ശ്രമിച്ചു.

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn aside the proconsul from the faith.

അപ്പോള് പൌലൊസ് എന്നും പേരുള്ള ശൌല് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മപൂര്ണ്ണനായി അവനെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കി

But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him,

ഹേ സകലകപടവും സകല ധൂര്ത്തും നിറഞ്ഞവനേ, പിശാചിന്റെ മകനേ, സര്വ നീതിയുടെയും ശത്രുവേ, കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നേര്വഴികളെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നത് നീ മതിയാക്കുകയില്ലയോ?

and said, "Full of all deceit and all cunning, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

ഇപ്പോള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ കൈ നിന്റെ മേല് വീഴും; നീ ഒരു സമയത്തേക്കു സൂര്യനെ കാണാതെ കുരുടനായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഉടനെ ഒരു തിമിരവും ഇരുട്ടും അവന്റെ മേല് വീണു; കൈപിടിച്ചു നടത്തുന്നവരെ തിരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവന് തപ്പിനടന്നു.

Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!" Immediately there fell on him a mist and darkness. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

ഈ ഉണ്ടായത് ദേശാധിപതി കണ്ടിട്ടു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തില് വിസ്മയിച്ചു വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

Then the proconsul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

പൌലൊസും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും പാഫൊസില്നിന്നു കപ്പല് നീക്കി, പംഫുല്യാദേശത്തിലെ പെര്ഗ്ഗെക്കു ചെന്നു. അവിടെവെച്ചു യോഹന്നാന് അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിഞ്ഞു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

Now Paul and his company set sail from Paphos, and came to Perga in Pamphylia. John departed from them and returned to Jerusalem.

അവരോ പെര്ഗ്ഗയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പിസിദ്യാദേശത്തിലെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില് എത്തി ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളില് പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നു ഇരുന്നു.

But they, passing on from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia. They went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.

ന്യായ പ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകങ്ങളും വായിച്ചുതീര്ന്നപ്പോള് പള്ളിപ്രമാണികള് അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചുസഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങകൂ ജനത്തോടു പ്രബോധനം വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് പറവിന് എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

After the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, speak."

പൌലൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടി പറഞ്ഞതുയിസ്രായേല് പുരുഷന്മാരും ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരും ആയുള്ളോരെ, കേള്പ്പിന് .

Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, "Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen.
17
യിസ്രായേല്ജനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തിലെ പ്രവാസകാലത്തു ജനത്തെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു, ഭുജവീര്യംകൊണ്ടു അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.

The God of this people chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they stayed as aliens in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm, he led them out of it.
18
മരുഭൂമിയില് നാല്പതു സംവത്സരകാലത്തോളം അവരുടെ സ്വഭാവം സഹിച്ചു,

For a period of about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness.
19
കനാന് ദേശത്തിലെ ഏഴു ജാതികളെ ഒടുക്കി, അവരുടെ ദേശം അവര്ക്കും അവകാശമായി വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. അങ്ങനെ ഏകദേശം നാനൂറ്റമ്പത് സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞു.

When he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land for an inheritance, for about four hundred fifty years.
20
അതിന്റെശേഷം അവന് അവര്ക്കും ശമൂവേല് പ്രവാചകന് വരെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാരെ കൊടുത്തു,

After these things he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.
21
അനന്തരം അവര് ഒരു രാജാവിനെ ചോദിച്ചു; ദൈവം അവര്ക്കും ബെന്യാമീന് ഗോത്രക്കാരനായ കീശിന്റെ മകന് ശൌലിനെ നാല്പതാണ്ടേക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

Afterward they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.
22
അവനെ നീക്കീട്ടു ദാവീദിനെ അവര്ക്കും രാജാവായി വാഴിച്ചുഞാന് യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ ദാവീദിനെ എനിക്കു ബോധിച്ച പുരുഷനായി കണ്ടു; അവന് എന്റെ ഹിതം എല്ലാം ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'

അവന്റെ സന്തതിയില്നിന്നു ദൈവം വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു യേശു എന്ന രക്ഷിതാവിനെ കൊടുത്തു.

From this man's seed, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,
24
അവന്റെ വരവിന്നു മുമ്പെ യോഹന്നാന് യിസ്രായേല്ജനത്തിന്നു ഒക്കെയും മാനസാന്തരത്തിന്റെ സ്നാനം പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

before his coming, when John had first preached the baptism of repentance to Israel.
25
യോഹന്നാന് ജീവകാലം തികവാറായപ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ആര് എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു? ഞാന് മശീഹയല്ല; അവന് എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലിലെ ചെരിപ്പു അഴിപ്പാന് ഞാന് യോഗ്യനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

As John was fulfilling his course, he said, 'What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.'

സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അബ്രാഹാംവംശത്തിലെ മക്കളും അവരോടു ചേര്ന്ന ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരുമായുള്ളാരേ, നമുക്കാകുന്നു ഈ രക്ഷാവചനം അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.
27
യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളും അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും അവനെയോ ശബ്ബത്തുതോറും വായിച്ചുവരുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വചനങ്ങളെയോ തിരിച്ചറിയാതെ അവനെ ശിക്ഷകൂ വിധിക്കയാല് അവേക്കു നിവൃത്തിവരുത്തി.

For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn't know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.
28
മരണത്തിന്നു ഒരു ഹേതുവും കാണാഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ കൊല്ലേണം എന്നു അവര് പീലാത്തൊസിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed.
29
അവനെക്കുറിച്ചിു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒക്കെയും തികെച്ചശേഷം അവര് അവനെ മരത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറക്കി ഒരു കല്ലറയില് വെച്ചു.

When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.
30
ദൈവമോ അവനെ മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു;

But God raised him from the dead,
31
അവന് തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഗലീലയില്നിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നവര്ക്കും ഏറിയ ദിവസം പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; അവര് ഇപ്പോള് ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവന്റെ സാക്ഷികള് ആകുന്നു.

and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.
32
ദൈവം പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദത്തം യേശുവിനെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനാല് മക്കള്ക്കു നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിക്കുന്നു.

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,
33
നീ എന്റെ പുത്രന് ; ഇന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു രണ്ടാം സങ്കീര്ത്തനത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു വല്ലോ.

that God has fulfilled the same to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, 'You are my Son. Today I have become your father.'

ഇനി ദ്രവത്വത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയാതവണ്ണം അവന് അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിനിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവന് ദാവീദിന്റെ സ്ഥിരമായുള്ള വിശുദ്ധ കൃപകെള ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നലകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു

"Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.'
35
മറ്റൊരു സങ്കിര്ത്തനത്തിലുംനിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാന് നീ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

Therefore he says also in another psalm, 'You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.'
36
ദാവീദ് തന്റെ തലമുറയില് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തശേഷം നിദ്ര പ്രാപിച്ചു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചേര്ന്നു ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടു.

For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.
37
ദൈവം ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചവനോ ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടില്ല. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ,

But he whom God raised up saw no decay.
38
ഇവന് മൂലം നിങ്ങളോടു പാപമോചനം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നും
38
Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,
39
മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നീതീകരണം വരുവാന് കഴിയാത്ത സകലത്തില് നിന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ഇവനാല് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40
“ഹേ നിന്ദക്കാരേ, നോക്കുവിന് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകുവിന് . നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്തു ഞാന് ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോടു വിവരിച്ചാല് നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നേ”

Beware therefore, lest that come on you which is spoken in the prophets:

എന്നു പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളില് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

'Behold, you scoffers, and wonder, and perish; For I work a work in your days, A work which you will in no way believe, if one declares it to you.'"
42
അവര് പള്ളിവിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോള് പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തില് ഈ വചനം തങ്ങളോടു പറയേണം എന്നു അവര് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

പള്ളി പിരിഞ്ഞശേഷം യെഹൂദന്മാരിലും ഭക്തിയുള്ള യെഹൂദമതാനുസാരികളിലും പലര് പൌലൊസിനെയും ബര്ന്നാബാസിനെയും അനുഗമിച്ചു; അവര് അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു ദൈവ കൃപയില് നിലനില്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു.

Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.
44
പിറ്റെ ശബ്ബത്തില് ഏകദേശം പട്ടണം മുഴുവനും ദൈവവചനം കേള്പ്പാന് വന്നു കൂടി.

The next Sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God.
45
യെഹൂദന്മാരോ പുരുഷാരത്തെ കണ്ടു അസൂയ നിറഞ്ഞവരായി ദുഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പൌലൊസ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന്നു എതിര് പറഞ്ഞു.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, and blasphemed.
46
അപ്പോള് പൌലൊസും ബര്ന്നബാസും ധൈര്യംപൂണ്ടുദൈവവചനം ആദ്യം നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നത് ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ തള്ളി നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ നിത്യജീവന്നു അയോഗ്യര് എന്നു വിധിച്ചുകളയുന്നതിനാല് ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങള് ജാതികളിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നു.

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.
47
“നീ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും രക്ഷ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ ജാതികളുടെ വെളിച്ചമാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു കര്ത്താവു ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, 'I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, That you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.'"
48
ജാതികള് ഇതു കേട്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു ദൈവവചനത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, നിത്യജീവന്നായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.
49
കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനം ആ നാട്ടില് എങ്ങും വ്യാപിച്ചു.

The Lord's word was spread abroad throughout all the region.
50
യെഹൂദന്മാരോ ഭക്തിയുള്ള മാന്യ സ്ത്രീകളെയും പട്ടണത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികളെയും ഇളക്കി പൌലൊസിന്റെയും ബര്ന്നബാസിന്റെയും നേരെ ഉപദ്രവമുണ്ടാക്കി അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ അതിരുകളില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their borders.
51
എന്നാല് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കാലിലെ പൊടി അവരുടെ നേരെ തട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു ഇക്കോന്യയിലേക്കു പോയി.

But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
52
ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സന്തോഷവും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നിറഞ്ഞവരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

The disciples were filled with joy with the Holy Spirit.
