യോശീയാവു വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു എട്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് മുപ്പത്തൊന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു യെദീദാ എന്നു പേര്; അവള് ബൊസ്കത്ത് കാരനായ അദായാവിന്റെ മകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.
