ദാവീദ് സോബക്കാരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചപ്പോള് അവന് തനിക്കു ആളുകളെ ശേഖരിച്ചു അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു നായകനായ്തീര്ന്നു; അവര് ദമ്മേശെക്കില് ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു ദമ്മേശെക്കില് വാണു.

He gathered men to him, and became captain over a troop, when David killed them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and lived therein, and reigned in Damascus.
