1ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳೋಣ? ಕೃಪೆಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಪಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರಬೇಕೋ?
1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಪಾಪದ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸತ್ತವರಾದ ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕು ವದು ಹೇಗೆ?
2May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
3ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರಾದ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರು ಆತನ ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದೋ?
3Or don't you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಆತನ ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೂಣಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆವು; ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ತಂದೆಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಗೆ ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾವು ಕೂಡ ಜೀವ ದಿಂದೆದ್ದು ನೂತನ ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
4We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
5ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ಆತನ ಮರಣದ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವೆವು.
5For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
6ಪಾಪದ ಶರೀರವು ನಾಶ ವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸರಾಗಿರದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಳೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕೂಡ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
6knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
7ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸತ್ತವನು ಪಾಪ ದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
7For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೊಡನೆ ಸತ್ತ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನೊಡನೆ ನಾವು ಸಹ ಜೀವಿಸುವೆವೆಂದು ನಂಬು ತ್ತೇವೆ.
8But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;
9ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಸತ್ತಮೇಲೆ ಜೀವಿತ ನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಯತಕ್ಕವನಲ್ಲ; ಮರಣವು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಆತ ನನ್ನು ಆಳುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
9knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!
10ಆತನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಜೀವಿಸುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
10For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
11ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಪಾಪದ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತವರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಜಿವಿಸುವವರೂ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
11Thus also consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಸಾಯತಕ್ಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಹದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಆಳಗೊಡಿಸಿ ನೀವು ಅದರ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ;
12Therefore don't let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಸಾಧನಗಳಾಗಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜೀವಿಸುವವರೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನೀತಿಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಸಾಧನಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.
13Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ನಡಿಸಬಾರದು; ಕಾರಣವೇನಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಾಧೀನ ರಲ್ಲ, ಕೃಪೆಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
14For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
15ಹಾಗಾದರೇನು? ನಾವು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣಾ ಧೀನರಲ್ಲ, ಕೃಪೆಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆಂದು ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.
15What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!
16ನೀವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಂತೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾಗಿಯೇ ವಿಧೇ ಯರಾಗಿರುವಿರೆಂಬದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸರಾದರೆ ಮರಣವೇ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ವಿಧೇಯತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸ ರಾದರೆ ನೀತಿಯೇ.
16Don't you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
17ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸ ರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅಧೀನರಾದದರಿಂದ ದೇವ ರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ.
17But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto you were delivered.
18ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ನೀತಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾದಿರಿ.
18Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.
19ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರದ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅಶುದ್ಧತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸರನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವ ದಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಈಗ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೀತಿಗೆ ದಾಸರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿರಿ.
19I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.
20ನೀವು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಸರಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೀತಿಯ ಹಂಗಿನವರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
20For when you were servants of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21ನೀವು ಆಗ ಮಾಡಿ ದವುಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮಗುಂಟಾದ ಫಲವೇನು? ಈಗ ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯುಂಟಷ್ಟೆ; ಅವುಗಳ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಮರಣವೇ.
21What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ನೀವು ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾದದರಿಂದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಫಲ; ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವೇ.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪದ ಸಂಬಳ ಮರಣ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ದಾನವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು.
22But now, being made free from sin, and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of eternal life.
23ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪದ ಸಂಬಳ ಮರಣ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ದಾನವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು.
23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
