ಹಾಗಾದರೆ--ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದುಂಟೇ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಸಹ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯನು. ಅಬ್ರ ಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವನು, ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಗೋತ್ರ ದವನು ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ.

I ask then, Did God reject his people? May it never be! For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

ದೇವರು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲೀಯನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯಾದರೋ ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ--

God didn't reject his people, which he foreknew. Or don't you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:

ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬರಹವು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

"Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have broken down your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life."

ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಉತ್ತರವೇನಂದರೆ--ಬಾಳನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರದ ಏಳುಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಾನು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂಬದು.

But how does God answer him? "I have reserved for myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal."

ಅದರಂತೆ ಈಗಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಪೆಯ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದಂಶವು ಉಳಿದಿದೆ.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಕೃಪೆಯು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೃಪೆಯೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೃಪೆಯಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲ.

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

ಹಾಗಾದರೇನು? ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರು ತಾವು ಹುಡುಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡರು.

What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn't obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

(ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆಯ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳದ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ). ಉಳಿದವರು ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಕುರುಡರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

According as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day."

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು--ಅವರ ಊಟವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉರ್ಲೂ ಬೋನೂ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರವೂ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವೂ ಆಗಲಿ.

David says, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, A stumbling block, and a retribution to them.
10
ನೋಡದಂತೆ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಲಿ; ಅವರ ಬೆನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Bow down their back always."

ಹಾಗಾದರೆ--ಅವರು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಎಡವಿದರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಆಗಬಾರದು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹುರುಡು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯುಂಟಾಯಿತು.

I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

ಅವರ ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಯು ಲೋಕದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರ ಕುಂದುವಿಕೆಯು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗೂ ಆಗಿರು ವದಾದರೆ ಅವರ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವದಲ್ಲವೇ?

Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fullness?
13
ಅನ್ಯಜನರಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತರುತ್ತೇನೆ.

For I speak to you who are Gentiles. Since then as I am an apostle to Gentiles, I glorify my ministry;
14
ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾವ ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಹುರುಡನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡೇನು.

if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh, and may save some of them.
15
ಅವರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳುವದರಿಂದ ಲೋಕವು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗು ವದಾದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದರಿಂದ ಏನಾಗುವದು? ಸತ್ತವರು ಜೀವಿತರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದಂತಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ.

For if the rejection of them is the reconciling of the world, what would their acceptance be, but life from the dead?
16
ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲವು ಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಕಣಕವೂ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇರು ಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳೂ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿವೆ.

If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವು ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಾಡೆಣ್ಣೇ ಮರದಂತಿರುವ ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳ ತಾವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ಊರೆಣ್ಣೇ ಮರದ ರಸವತ್ತಾದ ಬೇರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲು ಹೊಂದಿದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ.

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree;
18
ಆದರೂ ಆ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇಲಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆ ಬೇರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಆಧಾರವಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿದೆಯಷ್ಟೆ.

don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.
19
ಈ ಮಾತಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವಿ.

You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in."
20
ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು, ಅವರು ನಂಬದೆ ಹೋದದರಿಂದ ಮುರಿದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು, ನೀನು ನಿಂತಿರುವದು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ, ಗರ್ವ ಪಡಬೇಡ, ಭಯದಿಂದಿರು;
20
True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don't be conceited, but fear;
21
ದೇವರು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸದೆಯಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.

for if God didn't spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.
22
ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯ ವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡು; ಬಿದ್ದವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯ; ನೀನು ದೇವರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಆತನ ದಯೆ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ನೀನೂ ಕಡಿದು ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವಿ.

See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

ಅವರು ಕೂಡ ಇನ್ನು ಅಪ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ದೇವರು ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

They also, if they don't continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
24
ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕಾಡು ಮರದಿಂದ ಕಡಿದು ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನೀನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಡದ ಊರುಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವ ನಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಂತ ಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಹಜವಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ.

For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25
ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತ ರೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಸಂಗತಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದೇನಂದರೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಪಾಲು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ಕುರುಡುತನವು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವ ತನಕ

For I don't desire, brothers, to have you ignorant of this mystery, so that you won't be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,
26
ಹೀಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಹೊಂದುವರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ--ಬಿಡಿಸು ವಾತನು ಚೀಯೋನಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದು ಯಾಕೋಬಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನತೆಯನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.

and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written, "There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, And he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
27
ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವದು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬದು.

This is my covenant to them, When I will take away their sins."
28
ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ವೈರಿಗಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಪಿತೃಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.
29
ದೇವರ ದಾನಗಳೂ ಕರೆಯುವಿಕೆಯೂ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪವಿಲ್ಲದವು ಗಳಾಗಿವೆ.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
30
ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಕಾಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವರ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಹೇಗೆ ಕರುಣೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೀರೋ
30
For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,
31
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಕರುಣೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಇವರೂ (ಮುಂದೆ) ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಈಗ ನಂಬದವ ರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.
32
ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For God has shut up all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.
33
ಹಾ, ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮತ್ತು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅಗಾಧ ವಾಗಿದೆ! ಆತನ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳು ಪರಿಶೋಧನೆಗೂ ಆತನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ ವಾಗಿವೆ!

Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

ಕರ್ತನ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡವನು ಯಾರು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳಿದವನು ಯಾರು?

"For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?"
35
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೊದಲು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಯಾರು?ಸಮಸ್ತವು ಆತನಿಂದಲೂ ಆತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವೂ ಆತನಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಾಗಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್.

"Or who has first given to him, And it will be repaid to him again?"
36
ಸಮಸ್ತವು ಆತನಿಂದಲೂ ಆತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವೂ ಆತನಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಾಗಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್.

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.
