1ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ. ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲಿ:
1My son, don't forget my teaching; But let your heart keep my commandments:
2ಆಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ದಿನಗಳೂ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸ ಲ್ಪಡುವವು.
2For length of days, and years of life, And peace, will they add to you.
3ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ಸತ್ಯವೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡದಿರಲಿ. ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೋ; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಲಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆ.
3Don't let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4ಹೀಗೆ ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ದಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
4So you will find favor, And good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
5Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding.
6ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡುವನು.
6In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
7ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಂತೆ ನೀನು ಇರಬೇಡ; ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ನೀನು ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗು.
7Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
8ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವೂ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾರವೂ ಆಗಿರುವದು.
8It will be health to your body, And nourishment to your bones.
9ನಿನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು.
9Honor Yahweh with your substance, With the first fruits of all your increase:
10ಹೀಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣಜಗಳು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಲ್ಪಡುವವು, ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವವು.
10So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
11ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಕರ್ತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನ ತಿದ್ದುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಬೇಸರ ಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ;
11My son, don't despise Yahweh's discipline, Neither be weary of his reproof:
12ತಾನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವ ಮಗನನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಿದ್ದುವನು.
12For whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; Even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
13ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ಧನ್ಯನು.
13Happy is the man who finds wisdom, The man who gets understanding.
14ಅದರ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅದರ ಲಾಭವು ಸೋಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದೆ.
14For her good profit is better than getting silver, And her return is better than fine gold.
15ಅದು ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬಹು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ ವಸ್ತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
15She is more precious than rubies. None of the things you can desire are to be compared to her.
16ಆಕೆಯ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವೂ ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ ಘನತೆಯೂ ಇವೆ.
16Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor.
17ಅವಳ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಗಳು ಸಂತೋಷಕರವೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾರಿಗಳು ಸಮಾ ಧಾನಕರವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.
17Her ways are ways of pleasantness. All her paths are peace.
18ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವರಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಜೀವದ ವೃಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಧನ್ಯನು.
18She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her. Happy is everyone who retains her.
19ಕರ್ತನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನು; ವಿವೇಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆತನು ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿ ದನು.
19By wisdom Yahweh founded the earth. By understanding, he established the heavens.
20ಆತನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅಗಾಧಗಳು ಒಡೆದು ಮೇಘಗಳು ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
20By his knowledge, the depths were broken up, And the skies drop down the dew.
21ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲಿ. ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.
21My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವವೂ ಕೊರ ಳಿಗೆ ಸೊಬಗೂ ಆಗಿರುವವು.
22So they will be life to your soul, And grace for your neck.
23ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದವು ಎಡವುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
23Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won't stumble.
24ನೀನು ಮಲಗುವಾಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹೌದು, ನೀನು ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ. ನಿನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಸುಖವಾಗಿರುವದು.
24When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
25ಆಕಸ್ಮತ್ತಾದ ಭಯ ಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವ ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ನೀನು ಭಯಪಡದಿರು.
25Don't be afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes:
26ಕರ್ತನೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಭರವಸನಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದವು ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡ ದಂತೆ ಆತನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವನು.
26For Yahweh will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being taken.
27ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿರುವಾಗ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಯದು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಬೇಡ.
27Don't withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do it.
28ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ--ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾ, ನಾಳೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡು ವೆನು ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ.
28Don't say to your neighbor, "Go, and come again, Tomorrow I will give it to you," When you have it by you.
29ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನು ಭದ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿ ಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸ ಬೇಡ.
29Don't devise evil against your neighbor, Seeing he dwells securely by you.
30ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿನಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೇಡನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡ ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಜಗಳ ವಾಡಬೇಡ.
30Don't strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.
31ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಕಿಚ್ಚುಪಡಬೇಡ, ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
31Don't envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.
32ವಕ್ರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಗುಟ್ಟು ನೀತಿವಂತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದೆ.
32For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, But his friendship is with the upright.
33ಕರ್ತನ ಶಾಪವು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥರ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಆತನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
33Yahweh's curse is in the house of the wicked, But he blesses the habitation of the righteous.
34ಆತನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕರನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೀನರಿಗೆ ಆತನು ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಮಹಿಮೆಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾಗುವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೀನರ ಏಳಿಗೆಯು ಅವಮಾನವಾಗುವದು.
34Surely he mocks the mockers, But he gives grace to the humble.
35ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಮಹಿಮೆಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾಗುವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೀನರ ಏಳಿಗೆಯು ಅವಮಾನವಾಗುವದು.
35The wise will inherit glory, But shame will be the promotion of fools.
