1ತನ್ನ ನಿರ್ದೋಷತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಬಡವನು ತನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಕ್ರತೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮ.
1Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.
2ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ; ತನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳಿಂದ ದುಡುಕುವ ವನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
2It isn't good to have zeal without knowledge; Nor being hasty with one's feet and missing the way.
3ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆ ತನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಉರಿಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
3The foolishness of man subverts his way; His heart rages against Yahweh.
4ಐಶ್ವ ರ್ಯವು ಅನೇಕ ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತದೆ; ಬಡವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪ ಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
4Wealth adds many friends, But the poor is separated from his friend.
5ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರನು.
5A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.
6ಅಧಿಪ ತಿಯ ದಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಬಿನ್ನವಿಸುವರು; ದಾನಗ ಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ.
6Many will entreat the favor of a ruler, And everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts.
7ಬಡವನ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡು ತ್ತಾರೆ. ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ತನ್ನಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೂರ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಾಲುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
7All the relatives of the poor shun him: How much more do his friends avoid him! He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.
8ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
8He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.
9ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವವನು ನಾಶವಾ ಗುವನು.
9A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish.
10ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಆನಂದವು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ; ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವದು ಸೇವಕ ನಿಗೆ ಯುಕ್ತವೇ ಅಲ್ಲ.
10Delicate living is not appropriate for a fool, Much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
11ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಿವೇಕವು ಅವನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ದೋಷವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿ ಸದೆ ಇರುವದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಘನತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
11The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger. It is his glory to overlook an offense.
12ಅರಸನ ಕೋಪವು ಸಿಂಹದ ಘರ್ಜನೆಯಂತಿದೆ; ಅವನ ದಯೆಯು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯಂತಿದೆ.
12The king's wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass.
13ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾದ ಮಗನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಹಾನಿಕ ರನು; ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಕಲಹಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ತೊಟ್ಟಿ ಕ್ಕುವ ಹನಿಗಳು.
13A foolish son is the calamity of his father. A wife's quarrels are a continual dripping.
14ಮನೆಯೂ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾದ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಕರ್ತ ನಿಂದಲೇ.
14House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from Yahweh.
15ಮೈಗಳ್ಳತನವು ಗಾಢ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳು ಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಸೋಮಾರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳ್ಳು ವದು.
15Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep. The idle soul shall suffer hunger.
16ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಮಾಡು ವವನು ಸಾಯುವನು.
16He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.
17ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸು ವವನು. ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
17He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; He will reward him.
18ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಅವನ ಅಳುವಿಕೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸದೆ ಇರು.
18Discipline your son, for there is hope; Don't be a willing party to his death.
19ಮಹಾಕೋಪಿಷ್ಠನು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದರೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
19A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty, For if you rescue him, you must do it again.
20ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸು. ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಯಾಗುವಿ.
20Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter end.
21ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳಿವೆ; ಆದರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವೇ ಈಡೇರು ವದು.
21There are many plans in a man's heart, But Yahweh's counsel will prevail.
22ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯು ಆತನ ದಯೆಯೇ; ಬಡವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನಿಗಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು.
22That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar.
23ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಒಲಿಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ವನು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
23The fear of Yahweh leads to life, then contentment; He rests and will not be touched by trouble.
24ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
24The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; He will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
25ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಮೂಢರು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ದರೆ ಅವನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವನು.
25Flog a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.
26ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವವನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
26He who robs his father and drives away his mother, Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
27ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದಿರು.
27If you stop listening to instruction, my son, You will stray from the words of knowledge.
28ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀ ನನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಗೇಲಿಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವದು.ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪುಗಳೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೀನರ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಪೆಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.
28A corrupt witness mocks justice, And the mouth of the wicked gulps down iniquity.
29ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪುಗಳೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೀನರ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಪೆಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.
29Penalties are prepared for scoffers, And beatings for the backs of fools.
