ಆಗ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಕೂಗುವವರಾಗಿ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅತ್ತರು.

All the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೋಶೆಗೂ ಆರೋನ ರಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!

ನಾವು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದು ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಲ್ಲವೋ?

Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey: wouldn't it be better for us to return into Egypt?

ನಾವು ನಾಯಕನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

They said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
5
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕೂಟದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.

Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
6
ಆಗ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡಿದವರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಕೊಂಡು

Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were of those who spied out the land, tore their clothes:

ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ--ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ದಾಟಿಹೋದ ದೇಶವು ಅತ್ಯು ತ್ತಮವಾದ ದೇಶವೇ.

and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceeding good land.
8
ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟರೆ ಹಾಲು ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.

If Yahweh delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us; a land which flows with milk and honey.
9
ನೀವಾ ದರೋ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬೀಳಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವರು; ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೋಯಿತು; ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

Only don't rebel against Yahweh, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is removed from over them, and Yahweh is with us: don't fear them.
10
ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಸಭೆಯ ಗುಡಾರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಯಿತು.

But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. The glory of Yahweh appeared in the tent of meeting to all the children of Israel.
11
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ಈ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವರು? ನಾನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದ ಸಕಲ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ದೆಸೆ ಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ನಂಬದೆ ಇರುವ ರಲ್ಲಾ?

Yahweh said to Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?
12
ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.
13
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವರು; ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ!

Moses said to Yahweh, Then the Egyptians will hear it; for you brought up this people in your might from among them;
14
ಅವರು ಈ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನೀನೇ ಈ ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀಯೆಂದೂ ಕರ್ತ ನಾದ ನೀನೇ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀ ಯೆಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಘವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ ಯೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಹಗಲು ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಘ ಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತೀಯೆಂದೂ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you Yahweh are in the midst of this people; for you Yahweh are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them, and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.
15
ಈಗ ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು--

Now if you shall kill this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of you will speak, saying,
16
ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಶಕ್ತಿಸಾಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.

Because Yahweh was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore to them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.
17
ಈಗ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
17
Now please let the power of the Lord be great, according as you have spoken, saying,
18
ಕರ್ತನು ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನೂ ಮಹಾಕೃಪೆಯುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನೂ ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನೂ ಮನ್ನಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಅಪರಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸದವನೂ ಮೂರನೇ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ತಲೆಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ?

Yahweh is slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.
19
ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಮನ್ನಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ಈ ಜನರ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದಯ ದಿಂದ ಮನ್ನಿಸು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.

Pardon, Please, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of your loving kindness, and according as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
20
ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮನ್ನಿಸಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ.

Yahweh said, I have pardoned according to your word:
21
ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವದು.

but in very deed, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Yahweh;
22
ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನಡಿಸಿದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದ ಈ ಸಕಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಈಗ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾರಿ ಶೊಧಿಸಿ ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ

because all those men who have seen my glory, and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not listened to my voice;
23
ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನೋಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದವರು ಸಹ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.

surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those who despised me see it:
24
ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವಿದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತರುವೆನು; ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.

but my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into which he went; and his seed shall possess it.
25
(ಆಗ ಅಮಾಲೇ ಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.) ನಾಳೆ ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

Now the Amalekite and the Canaanite dwell in the valley: tomorrow turn you , and get you into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.

ಕರ್ತನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮೋಶೆಗೂ ಆರೋನ ನಿಗೂ--

Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
27
ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಭೆಯು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟುಕಾಲ ಸಹಿಸಲಿ? ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
28
ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Tell them, As I live, says Yahweh, surely as you have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you:
29
ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಬೀಳುವವು. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಎಣಿಸಿದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಾಯವುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಆದ ನೀವೇ.

your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all who were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me,
30
ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಹೊರತು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಾಸಮಾಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಬಾರದೆ ಇರುವಿರಿ.

surely you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
31
ಆದರೆ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾಗುವರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು; ನೀವು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.

But your little ones, that you said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected.
32
ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯಾದರೋ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವವು.

But as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness.
33
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

Your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your prostitution, until your dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness.
34
ನೀವು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ದಿವಸಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ವರುಷವಾಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿರಿ.

After the number of the days in which you spied out the land, even forty days, for every day a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know my alienation.
35
ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವರು.

I, Yahweh, have spoken, surely this will I do to all this evil congregation, who are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
36
ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಶೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದವರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟಸುದ್ದಿ ಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ

The men, whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up an evil report against the land,
37
ದೇಶದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಇವರೇ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಸತ್ತರು.

even those men who did bring up an evil report of the land, died by the plague before Yahweh.

ಆದರೆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೊಳಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರಾದ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ಉಳಿದರು.

But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, remained alive of those men who went to spy out the land.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಜನರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು.

Moses told these words to all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

ಮರುದಿವಸ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಎದ್ದು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.

They rose up early in the morning, and got them up to the top of the mountain, saying, Behold, we are here, and will go up to the place which Yahweh has promised: for we have sinned.
41
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು--ನೀವು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯಾಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಅದು ಸಫಲವಾಗು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.

Moses said, Why now do you disobey the commandment of Yahweh, seeing it shall not prosper?
42
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

Don't go up, for Yahweh isn't among you; that you not be struck down before your enemies.
43
ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಅವರ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆ ಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you are turned back from following Yahweh, therefore Yahweh will not be with you.

ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹಟಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿಹೋದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಪಾಳೆಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಆಗ ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾ ನ್ಯರೂ ಇಳಿದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಹೊರ್ಮಾದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

But they presumed to go up to the top of the mountain: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and Moses, didn't depart out of the camp.
45
ಆಗ ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾ ನ್ಯರೂ ಇಳಿದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಹೊರ್ಮಾದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

Then the Amalekite came down, and the Canaanite who lived in that mountain, and struck them and beat them down, even to Hormah.
