1ಬೆಳಗಾದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಸಭೆಯವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೇಸು ವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಪಿಲಾತನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ದರು.
1Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.
2ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ನೀನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.
2Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" He answered, "So you say."
3ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನೇಕ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3The chief priests accused him of many things.
4ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಆತ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ನೋಡು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
4Pilate again asked him, "Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!"
5ಆದರೂ ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡದೆ ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.
5But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate marveled.
6ಆ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಿತ್ತು.
6Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.
7ಆಗ ದಂಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಆ ದಂಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬರಬ್ಬ ನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವನೊಬ್ಬನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು.
7There was one called Barabbas, bound with those who had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.
8ಆಗ ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಅವನು ತಮಗೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಂಭಿ ಸಿದರು.
8The multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do as he always did for them.
9ಆದರೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬೇಕೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
9Pilate answered them, saying, "Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?"
10ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರು ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಕಿಚ್ಚಿನಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
10For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
11ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರು ತಮಗೆ ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.
11But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should release Barabbas to them instead.
12ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸ ನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವ ಈತನಿಗೆ ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕ ನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ--
12Pilate again asked them, "What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?"
13ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು ಎಂದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವರು ಕೂಗಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.
13They cried out again, "Crucify him!"
14ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಯಾಕೆ? ಆತನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನು ಮಾಡಿದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅವರು--ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
14Pilate said to them, "Why, what evil has he done?" But they cried out exceedingly, "Crucify him!"
15ಹೀಗೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಜನರನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊರಡೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡಿಸಿ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
15Pilate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and handed over Jesus, when he had flogged him, to be crucified.
16ತರುವಾಯ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇತೋ ರಿಯಂ ಎಂಬ ಮಂದಿರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆದರು.
16The soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they called together the whole cohort.
17ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಊದಾ ಬಣ್ಣದ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಮುಳ್ಳಿನ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆದು ಆತನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟು
17They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
18ಆತನನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ--ಯೆಹೂ ದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ವಂದನೆ ಅಂದರು.
18They began to salute him, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
19ಅವರು ಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆತನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.
19They struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees, did homage to him.
20ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಊದಾ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಆತನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದರು.
20When they had mocked him, they took the purple off of him, and put his own garments on him. They led him out to crucify him.
21ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಫ ಎಂಬವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಕುರೇನ್ಯದ ಸೀಮೋನ ಎಂಬವನು ಗ್ರಾಮದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
21They compelled one passing by, coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them, that he might bear his cross.
22ಕಪಾಲ ಸ್ಥಳ ಎಂದರ್ಥವುಳ್ಳ ಗೊಲ್ಗೊಥಾ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
22They brought him to the place called Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, "The place of a skull."
23ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ ಬೆರಸಿದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲುಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
23They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he didn't take it.
24ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳಿ ಗಾಗಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಏನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
24Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.
25ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಮೂರನೆಯ ತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು.
25It was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು--ಎಂದು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿದ ಅಪರಾಧದ ಮೇಲ್ಬರಹವು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.
26The superscription of his accusation was written over him, "THE KING OF THE JEWS."
27ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕಳ್ಳರನ್ನು, ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಲಗಡೆಗೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಎಡ ಗಡೆಗೂ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ದರು.
27With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28ಆಗ--ಆತನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು ಎಂಬ ಬರಹವು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.
28The Scripture was fulfilled, which says, "He was numbered with transgressors."
29ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿ-ಹಾ! ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವವನೇ,
29Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,
30ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದುಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆತನನು ದೂಷಿಸಿದರು.
30save yourself, and come down from the cross!"
31ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರು ಸಹ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ--ಇವನು ಇತರರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು; ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು.
31Likewise, also the chief priests mocking among themselves with the scribes said, "He saved others. He can't save himself.
32ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಈಗ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರಲಿ; ಆಗ ನಾವು ನೋಡಿ ನಂಬುವೆವು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು; ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿದರು.
32Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him." Those who were crucified with him insulted him.
33ಆರನೇ ತಾಸಿನಿಂದ ಒಂಭತ್ತನೇ ತಾಸಿನವರೆಗೆ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಇತ್ತು.
33When the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
34ಒಂಭತ್ತ ನೆಯ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು--ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಲಮಾ ಸಬಕ್ತಾನೀ? ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ಯಾಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿದನು.
34At the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is, being interpreted, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
35ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಈತನು ಎಲೀಯ ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದರು.
35Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, "Behold, he is calling Elijah."
36ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂಜನ್ನು ಹುಳಿರಸದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಒಂದು ಕೋಲಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು-- ಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಎಲೀಯನ ಇವನನ್ನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನೋ ನೋಡೋಣ ಅಂದನು.
36One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Let him be. Let's see whether Elijah comes to take him down."
37ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
37Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.
38ಆಗ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರೆಯು ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹರಿದು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು.
38The veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.
39ಆತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಕೂಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಆತನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ನೋಡಿ-- ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾಗಿ ದ್ದನು ಅಂದನು.
39When the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
40ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸಹ ದೂರದಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳು, ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಸೆಯ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳು, ಸಲೋಮೆಯು ಇದ್ದರು.
40There were also women watching from afar, among whom were both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
41(ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸಹ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಉಪಚರಿಸಿ ದವರು;) ಮತ್ತು ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬೇರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಇದ್ದರು.
41who, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and served him; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.
42ಆಗ ಸಂಜೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅದು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿನ ಮುಂಚಿನ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ ದಿವಸವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
42When evening had now come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
43ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವವುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯವನೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವನೂ ಆದ ಅರಿ ಮಥಾಯದ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
43Joseph of Arimathaea, a prominent council member who also himself was looking for the Kingdom of God, came. He boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for Jesus' body.
44ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಆಗಲೇ ಸತ್ತನೋ ಎಂದು ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದು--ಆತನು ಸತ್ತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಮಯ ವಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
44Pilate marveled if he were already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long.
45ಅವನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಯೊಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
45When he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
46ಆಗ ಅವನು ಶುಭ್ರವಾದ ನಾರು ಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಆತನನ್ನು (ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ) ಇಳಿಸಿ ಆ ನಾರುಮಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿ ಬಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಬಾಗಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಉರುಳಿಸಿದನು.ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಯೋಸೆಯ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು.
46He bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock. He rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.
47ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಯೋಸೆಯ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು.
47Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses, saw where he was laid.
