1ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದ ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
1Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.
2ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು--ಇವನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
2The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, "This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them."
3ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು--
3He told them this parable.
4ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನಗೆ ನೂರು ಕುರಿಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಕಳೆದು ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ತೊಂಭತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಳೆದುಹೋದದ್ದು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗದಿರುವನೇ?
4"Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn't leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?
5ಅವನು ಆ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
5When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ;ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ನನ್ನ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅನ್ನುವನು.
6When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'
7ಆದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾನಸಾಂತ ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ತೊಂಭತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ನೀತಿವಂತರಿಗಿಂತ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
7I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
8ಯಾವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ದೀಪಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುಡಿಸಿ ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕುವ ದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
8Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn't light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?
9ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ನಾನು ಕಳಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅನ್ನುವಳು.
9When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.'
10ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವದೂತರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
10Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting."
11ಆತನು--ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಿದ್ದರು.
11He said, "A certain man had two sons.
12ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರಿಯವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿದನು.
12The younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of your property.' He divided his livelihood between them.
13ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರೀ ಮಗನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದುಂದುಗಾರನಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
13Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.
14ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋರವಾದ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಕೊರತೆ ಪಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
14When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.
15ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕೊಂಡನು; ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.ಅವನು ಹಂದಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ
15He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
16ಅವನು ಹಂದಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
16He wanted to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.
17ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ದಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯುವಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ! ನಾನಾದರೋ ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
17But when he came to himself he said, 'How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I'm dying with hunger!
18ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
18I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight.
19ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಂತೆ ಮಾಡು ಅನ್ನುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು
19I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants."'
20ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಅವನ ಕೊರಳನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.
20"He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21ಮಗನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ನಾನು ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾನು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
21The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
22ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಇವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನೂ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಕಿರಿ;
22"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.
23ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ವಧಿಸಿರಿ; ನಾವು ಉಂಡು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡೋಣ;
23Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat, and celebrate;
24ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಈಗ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
24for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.' They began to celebrate.
25ಆಗ ಹಿರೀಮಗನು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಮನೆಯ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ವಾದ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ನಾಟ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
25"Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
26ಅವನು ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಇವುಗಳು ಏನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
26He called one of the servants to him, and asked what was going on.
27ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸೌಖ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
27He said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.'
28ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
28But he was angry, and would not go in. Therefore his father came out, and begged him.
29ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಇಷ್ಟು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಯನ್ನು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ವಿಾರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀನ
29But he answered his father, 'Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.
30ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಸೂಳೆಯ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.
30But when this, your son, came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.'
31ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀ, ನನಗಿರುವ ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನದೇ.ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋ ಷಿಸಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವಾದದ್ದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದನು.
31"He said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
32ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋ ಷಿಸಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವಾದದ್ದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದನು.
32But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.'"
