1ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲಿ; ನೀವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿರಿ.
1"Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
2ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಭವನ ಗಳಿವೆ; ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು ತ್ತೇನಲ್ಲಾ.
2In my Father's house are many mansions. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ಆಗ ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಇರುವಿರಿ.
3If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆಂಬದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ; ಮಾರ್ಗವೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ ಅಂದನು.
4Where I go, you know, and you know the way."
5ತೋಮನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀಯೋ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು; ನಮಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಹೇಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದೀತು ಅಂದನು.
5Thomas says to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
6ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಮಾರ್ಗವೂ ಸತ್ಯವೂ ಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರೂ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
6Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
7ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಿಳಿದವರಾಗಿ ರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ; ಈಗಿನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
7If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him."
8ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸು, ನಮಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾಕು ಅಂದನು.
8Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
9ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಇದ್ದರೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?
9Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, 'Show us the Father?'
10ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ನಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಂದೆಯೇ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
11ನಾನು ತಂದೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆಂತಲೂ ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆಂತಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡುವನು; ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಮಾಡುವನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ.
12Most assuredly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these will he do; because I am going to my Father.
13ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಏನೇನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಗನಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
13Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
14If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವದಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
15If you love me, keep my commandments.
16ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬ ಆದರಿ ಕನನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.
16I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,�
17ಆತನು ಸತ್ಯದ ಆತ್ಮನೇ; ಲೋಕವು ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆಯೂ ತಿಳಿಯದೆಯೂ ಇರುವದ ರಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಾರದು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿರುವನು.
17the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
18ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆದರಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಬರುವೆನು.
18I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಲೋಕವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸುವ ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಜೀವಿಸುವಿರಿ.
19Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
20ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವೆನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
20In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವನು. ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
21One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him."
22ಯೂದನು (ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತನಲ್ಲ)--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
22Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?"
23ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಯಾವನಾ ದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾವು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು.
23Jesus answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.
24ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸದವನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾತೇ.
24He who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words. The word which you hear isn't mine, but the Father's who sent me.
25ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
25I have said these things to you, while still living with you.
26ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮನೆಂಬ ಆದರಿಕನೇ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತರುವನು.
26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
27ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಲೋಕವು ಕೊಡುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳ ದಿರಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಂಜದಿರಲಿ.
27Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
28ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
28You heard how I told you, 'I go away, and I come to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said 'I am going to my Father;' for the Father is greater than I.
29ಅದು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ನೀವು ನಂಬುವಂತೆ ನಡೆಯು ವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
29Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you may believe.
30ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಹ ಲೋಕದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟದ್ದು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಲೋಕವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಳಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು.
30I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
31ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಲೋಕವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಳಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು.
31But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
