1ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
2ದೊರೆ ತನವೂ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯೂ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇವೆ; ತನ್ನ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
2"Dominion and fear are with him; He makes peace in his high places.
3ಆತನ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಉಂಟೋ? ಆತನ ಬೆಳಕು ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ?
3Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?
4ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನು ನಿರ್ಮಲನಾಗಿರುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?
5ಇಗೋ, ಚಂದ್ರನಾದರೂ ಹೊಳೆಯು ವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಾದರೂ ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾ ಗಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಹುಳವೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಗನೆಂಬ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಯೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರದವನು?
5Behold, even the moon has no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight;
6ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಹುಳವೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಗನೆಂಬ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಯೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರದವನು?
6How much less man, who is a worm! The son of man, who is a worm!"
