1ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಿರುವವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಗಾಳಿ ಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

1The word that Yahweh spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, by Jeremiah the prophet.

2ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ತೂರುವವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ತೂರಿ ಅದರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬರಿದುಮಾಡುವರು; ದುರ್ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಲಾಗಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿರುವರು.

2Declare you among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don't conceal: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed; her images are disappointed, her idols are dismayed.

3ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕವಚದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನವನು ತನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಸಲಿ; ಅದರ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಅದರ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿರಿ.

3For out of the north there comes up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they are fled, they are gone, both man and animal.

4ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟವರೂ ಅದರ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿವಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರೂ ಬೀಳುವರು.

4In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall go on their way weeping, and shall seek Yahweh their God.

5ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಾದರೂ ಯೆಹೂದವಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಲ್ಲ.

5They shall inquire concerning Zion with their faces turned toward it, saying, Come you , and join yourselves to Yahweh in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6ಬಾಬೆಲಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿರಿ, ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ಅದರ ಅಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶವಾಗ ಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡನೆಯ ಕಾಲವು; ಆತನೇ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains; they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting-place.

7ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಮಲೇರಿ ಸಿದ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಅದರ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದವು; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳು ಹುಚ್ಚರಾದರು.

7All who found them have devoured them; and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Yahweh, the habitation of righteousness, even Yahweh, the hope of their fathers.

8ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಬಿದ್ದು ಮುರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ಅದರ ವಿಷಯ ಗೋಳಾ ಡಿರಿ; ಅದರ ನೋವಿಗೆ ತೈಲ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ವಾಸಿಯಾದೀತು.

8Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the male goats before the flocks.

9ನಾವು ಬಾಬೆಲನ್ನು ವಾಸಿಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದೆವು. ಆದರೆ ಅದು ವಾಸಿಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಡು, ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ; ಅದರ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ವಿಕೆಯು ಆಕಾಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ; ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಏಳುತ್ತದೆ.

9For, behold, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of an expert mighty man; none shall return in vain.

10ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಬನ್ನಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು, ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳೋಣ.

10Chaldea shall be a prey: all who prey on her shall be satisfied, says Yahweh.

11ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆರಗು ಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಡಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ಮೇದ್ಯರ ಅರಸರ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡ ನೆಯೂ ಆತನ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡನೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

11Because you are glad, because you rejoice, O you who plunder my heritage, because you are wanton as a heifer that treads out the grain, and neigh as strong horses;

12ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿರಿ, ಪಹರೆ ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿರಿ, ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ; ಹೊಂಚಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

12your mother shall be utterly disappointed; she who bore you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the least of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

13ಅನೇಕ ನೀರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವಳೇ, ಬಹಳ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳುಳ್ಳ ವಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂತ್ಯವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದುರ್ಲಾಭದ ಅಳತೆಯೂ ಬಂತು.

13Because of the wrath of Yahweh she shall not be inhabited, but she shall be wholly desolate: everyone who goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

14ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಹುಳಗಳಿಂದಾದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಆರ್ಭಟವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವರೆಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

14Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, all you who bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she has sinned against Yahweh.

15ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

15Shout against her round about: she has submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down; for it is the vengeance of Yahweh: take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.

16ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವಾಗ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಘೋಷವದೆ; ಆತನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹಬೆಯನ್ನು ಏರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮಳೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಿಂಚುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರಗಳೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ.

16Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him who handles the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn everyone to his people, and they shall flee everyone to his own land.

17ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮೂಢರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ಯುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಎರಕದ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಳೇ; ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಸಿರು ಇಲ್ಲ.

17Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.

18ಅವು ಮಾಯವೇ, ಮೋಸದ ಕೆಲಸವೇ; ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುವವು.

18Therefore thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

19ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಭಾಗವು ಇವುಗಳ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವನೇ, ಆತನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯದ ಕೋಲು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ; ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನೇ.

19I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.

20ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಆಯುಧಗಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ;

20In those days, and in that time, says Yahweh, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.

21ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿದವನನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ರಥವನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವವನನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

21Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: kill and utterly destroy after them, says Yahweh, and do according to all that I have commanded you.

22ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕುರುಬನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

22A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

23ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಿರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನನ್ನೂ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ನೊಗದ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಒಡೆದುಬಿಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.

23How is the hammer of the whole earth cut apart and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

24ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ರಿಗೂ--ಅವರು ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

24I have laid a snare for you, and you are also taken, Babylon, and you weren't aware: you are found, and also caught, because you have striven against Yahweh.

25ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಬೆಟ್ಟವೇ! ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಂಥಾದ್ದೇ! ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊರಳಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟ ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

25Yahweh has opened his armory, and has brought forth the weapons of his indignation; for the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts, has a work to do in the land of the Chaldeans.

26ಒಬ್ಬರೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಮೂಲೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರದ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತೆಗೆಯರು; ನೀನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಹಾಳಾಗುವಿ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

26Come against her from the utmost border; open her store-houses; cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly; let nothing of her be left.

27ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿರಿ; ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನೂದಿರಿ; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಅರರಾಟ್‌, ಮಿನ್ನಿ, ಅಷ್ಕೆನಜ್‌ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕರೆಯಿರಿ; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿರಿ; ಬಿರುಸಾದ ಮಿಡತೆ ದಂಡಿನಂತೆ ಕುದುರೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿರಿ.

27Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.

28ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೇದ್ಯರ ಅರಸರನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ.

28The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of Yahweh our God, the vengeance of his temple.

29ಆಗ ದೇಶವು ಕದಲಿ ವೇದನೆಪಡುವದು; ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿವಾಸಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡು ವವು.

29Call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow; encamp against her round about; let none of it escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her; for she has been proud against Yahweh, against the Holy One of Israel.

30ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಭದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮತನ ತಪ್ಪಿತು; ಅವರು ಹೆಂಗಸರಂತೆ ಅಬಲರಾದರು. ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರ ಅಗುಳಿಗಳು ಮುರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.

30Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets, and all her men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, says Yahweh.

31ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದೂ ದಾಟುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ವಶವಾದವೆಂದೂ ಬಿದಿರುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ ಎಂದೂ ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರು ಗಾಬರಿ ಪಟ್ಟರೆಂದೂ

31Behold, I am against you, you proud one, says the Lord, Yahweh of Hosts; for your day is come, the time that I will visit you.

32ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡುವವನು ಓಡುವವನನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಸುವವನು ತಿಳಿಸುವವನನ್ನೂ ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡುವರು.

32The proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up; and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all who are round about him.

33ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ತುಳಿಯುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣವು ಹೇಗೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮಗಳು ಇದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಗ್ಗೀಕಾಲ ಬರುವದು.

33Thus says Yahweh of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; and all who took them captive hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.

34ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಜಜ್ಜಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಬರಿದಾದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಘಟಸರ್ಪದ ಹಾಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನನ್ನ ರಮ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

34Their Redeemer is strong; Yahweh of Hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

35ನನಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಹೇಳುವನು; ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ತವು ಇರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಹೇಳುವದು.

35A sword is on the Chaldeans, says Yahweh, and on the inhabitants of Babylon, and on her princes, and on her wise men.

36ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದರ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದರ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬತ್ತಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ;

36A sword is on the boasters, and they shall become fools; a sword is on her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.

37ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ದಿಬ್ಬೆಗಳಾಗುವದು; ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ನರಿಗಳ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೂ ಹಾಳೂ ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವಿಕೆಯೂ ಆಗುವದು.

37A sword is on their horses, and on their chariots, and on all the mixed people who are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is on her treasures, and they shall be robbed.

38ಅವರು ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಗರ್ಜಿಸುವರು, ಸಿಂಹದ ಮರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಶಬ್ದ ಮಾಡುವರು.

38A drought is on her waters, and they shall be dried up; for it is a land of engraved images, and they are mad over idols.

39ಅವರ ಉರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸಿ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ನಿದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಮಲೇರಿಸುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

39Therefore the wild animals of the desert with the wolves shall dwell there, and the ostriches shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited forever; neither shall it be lived in from generation to generation.

40ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಟಗರು ಗಳ ಹೋತಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲೆಗೆ ಇಳಿಸುವೆನು.

40As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says Yahweh, so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.

41ಶೇಷಕ್‌ ಹೇಗೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಗೊಂಡಿದೆ; ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಳಗಾಯಿತು!

41Behold, a people comes from the north; and a great nation and many kings shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

42ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಬಂತು; ಅದರ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

42They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.

43ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹಾಳಾದವು; ಅವು ಒಣನೆಲವೂ ಅಡವಿಯೂ ಯಾರೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡದೆ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಗನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗದೆ ಇರುವ ದೇಶವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.

43The king of Babylon has heard the news of them, and his hands wax feeble: anguish has taken hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

44ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇಲ್‌ನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಿ ಅವನು ನುಂಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವನ ಬಾಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರಿಸುವೆನು; ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹವಾಗಿ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹೌದು, ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಗೋಡೆ ಬೀಳುವದು.

44Behold, the enemy shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd who can stand before me?

45ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿರಿ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪದ ಉರಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ.

45Therefore hear the counsel of Yahweh, that he has taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.

46ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕುಂದದ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಂದು ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿಯೂ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿಯೂ ಬರುವದು; ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವಿರು ವದು, ಆಳುವವನು ಆಳುವವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿರು ವನು.

46At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth trembles, and the cry is heard among the nations.

47ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ದಿನಗಳು ಬರುವವು; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿ ಸುವೆನು. ಅದರ ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವದು; ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಅದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವರು.

48ಆಗ ಆಕಾಶವೂ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಡುವೆವು. ಸೂರೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಉತ್ತರದಿಂದ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಬರುವರೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

49ಬಾಬೆಲು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ಬೀಳಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಬೀಳು ವರು.

50ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರೇ, ನಡೆಯಿರಿ, ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ; ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ.

51ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುತ್ತೇವೆ, ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಅವಮಾನ ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದೆ; ಅನ್ಯರು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

52ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ದಿನಗಳು ಬರುವವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವಳ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವಳ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಯಪಟ್ಟವರು ನರಳುವರು.

53ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದರೂ ಅದರ ಬಲದ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಸೂರೆಮಾಡು ವವರು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬರುವರೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

54ಬಾಬೆಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೂಗುವ ಶಬ್ದವು! ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಹಾನಾಶನವು ಬರುವದು.

55ಕರ್ತನು ಬಾಬೆಲನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವಳ ತೆರೆಗಳು ಬಹಳ ನೀರುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಘೋಷಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವುಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದ ಧ್ವನಿ ಹೊರಟಿತು.

56ಸೂರೆ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅದರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವಳ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಮುರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ; ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡನೆಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವನು.

57ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಅವಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮತ್ತರಾಗಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವರು ನಿತ್ಯ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವರು, ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಅರಸನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

58ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅಗಲವಾದ ಗೋಡೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪ ಡುವವು; ಅವಳ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿ ಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು; ಜನರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಆಯಾಸ ಪಡುವರು.

59ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಮಹ್ಸೇಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ನೇರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೆರಾಯನಿಗೆ, ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನ ಸಂಗಡ, ಇವನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು. ಆ ಸೆರಾಯನು ಶಾಂತವಾದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

60ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದು ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದನು.

61ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಸೆರಾಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ-- ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು

62ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರಾಗಲಿ, ಮೃಗಗಳಾಗಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅದು ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನೀನೇ ಮಾತನಾ ಡಿದ್ದೀ.

63ನೀನು ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬಾಬೆಲ್‌ ಮುಳುಗಿಹೋಗುವದು;ನಾನು ಅವಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವ ಕೇಡಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಏಳದು, ಅವರು ಆಯಾಸ ಪಡುವರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು.

64ನಾನು ಅವಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತರುವ ಕೇಡಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಏಳದು, ಅವರು ಆಯಾಸ ಪಡುವರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು.
