ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟದ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಹಾಡುವೆನು. ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಗುಡ್ಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಅತಿಪ್ರಿಯನಿಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ತೋಟವಿದೆ.

Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.

ಅವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಅದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬುರುಜನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊರೆಯಿಸಿ, ತೋಟವು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದೆಂದು ಎದುರು ನೋಡು ತ್ತಿರಲು, ಅದು ಕಾಡುಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.

He dug it up, Gathered out its stones, Planted it with the choicest vine, Built a tower in its midst, And also cut out a winepress therein. He looked for it to yield grapes, But it yielded wild grapes.

ಓ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೇ, ನನಗೂ ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

"Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Please judge between me and my vineyard.
4
ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು? ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಅದು ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಫಲಿಸುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲು ಅದು ಕಾಡುಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಯಾಕೆ?

What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?

ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಅದರ ಬೇಲಿ ಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು. ಆಗ ಅದು ಮೇಯಲ್ಪಡು ವದು. ಅದರ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವೆನು, ಆಗ ಅದು ತುಳಿದಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡಾಗುವದು.

Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall of it, and it will be trampled down.

ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಾಳಾಗಲು ಬಿಡುವೆನು: ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕುಡಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಗೆಯುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳ್ಳುಪೊದೆಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಯುವವು; ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸುವೆನು.

I will lay it a wasteland. It won't be pruned nor hoed, But it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it."

ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆಯೇ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನವೋ, ಆತನ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಗಿಡವೇ. ಆತನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರೀ ಕ್ಷಿಸಲು, ಇಗೋ, ಹಿಂಸೆಯೇ; ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಗೋಳಾಟವೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತು.

For the vineyard of Yahweh of Hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah his pleasant plant: And he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; For righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress.
8
ಸ್ಥಳ ಮಿಗಿಸದೆ ನೀವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮನೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಲ ಸೇರಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!

Woe to those who join house to house, Who lay field to field, until there is no room, And you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!

ಸೈನ್ಯ ಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ --ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನೇಕ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದವುಗಳೂ ಸೊಗಸಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಮನೆಗಳೂ ವಾಸಿಸುವವನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾಳುಬೀಳುವವು.

In my ears, Yahweh of Hosts says: "Surely many houses will be desolate, Even great and beautiful, unoccupied.
10
ಹೌದು, ಹತ್ತು ಎಕರೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟವು ಒಂದು ಬಾತು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೋಮೆರಷ್ಟು ಬೀಜ ಎಫವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದು.

For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, And a homer of seed shall yield an ephah."
11
ಮದ್ಯಪಾನವನ್ನು ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಬೆಳ ಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾ ರಸದಿಂದ ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆಯುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!

Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; Who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!
12
ಅವರ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ದಮ್ಮಡಿ, ಕೊಳಲು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ಇರುವವು; ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸರು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆತನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; But they don't regard the work of Yahweh, Neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
13
ಆದಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯು ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರಾದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರ ಘನವಂತರು ಹಸಿಯು ವರು, ಹಾಗೆ ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಒಣಗುವದು.

Therefore my people have go into captivity for lack of knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitudes are parched with thirst.
14
ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಪಾತಾಳವು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ಮಿತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲು ಅವರ ಮಹಿಮೆ, ಸಮೂ ಹವು, ಕೋಲಾಹಲ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುವದು ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವವು.

Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, And opened its mouth without measure; And their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.
15
ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವನು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು. ಅಹಂಭಾವದ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕಂಗೆಡುವವು.
15
So man is brought low, Mankind is humbled, And the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;
16
ಆದರೆ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತನಾಗಿ ರುವನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾದ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
16
But Yahweh of Hosts is exalted in justice, And God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
17
ಆಗ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳು ತಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೇಯುವವು, ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದವರ ಹಾಳಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯರು ತಿನ್ನುವರು.
17
Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, And strangers will eat the ruins of the rich.
18
ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನೂ ಬಂಡಿ ಹಗ್ಗದಿಂದಲೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನೂ ಎಳೆದು --

Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, And wickedness as with cart rope;
19
ನಾವು ಆತನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಬೇಗನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ; ನಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊ ಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದು ಸವಿಾಪಿಸಿ ಬರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!

Who say, "Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, That we may know it!"
20
ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಮೇಲೆಂದೂ ಮೇಲಿಗೆ ಕೇಡೆಂದೂ ಕರೆದು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕೆಂದೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಯೆಂದೂ ಕಹಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿಹಿಯೆಂದೂ ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಕಹಿ ಯೆಂದೂ ಎಣಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, And light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, And sweet for bitter!
21
ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!
21
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!
22
ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿಯುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂರರೂ ಮದ್ಯ ಮಿಶ್ರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಸಿಗಳೂ

Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, And champions at mixing strong drink;
23
ಲಂಚಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವವರಿಗೂ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!
23
Who acquit the guilty for a bribe, But deny justice for the innocent!
24
ಅವರು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಹೊಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ಅದರ ಬೇರು ಕೊಳೆಯುವಂತೆಯೂ ಚಿಗುರು ಅವರ ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆಯೂ ತೂರಿಹೋಗುವವು.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, And as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, So their root shall be as rottenness, And their blossom shall go up as dust; Because they have rejected Yaweh's law of Hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25
ಆದಕಾರಣ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೋಪವು ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋ ಧವಾಗಿ ಉರಿಗೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕಂಪಿಸಿದವು. ಅವರ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಹರಿದು ಬೀದಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿ ರುವವು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೈಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.

Therefore Yahweh's anger burns against his people, And he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, And their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, But his hand is still stretched out.

ಆತನು ದೂರದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಗಾಗಿ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂಚಿನಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಳ್ಳುಹಾಕುವನು. ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಬರುವರು;
26
He will lift up a banner to the nations from far, And he will whistle for them from the end of the earth. Behold, they will come speedily and swiftly.
27
ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ದಣಿದು ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸರು; ಅಥವಾ ಅವರು ತೂಕಡಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿದ್ರಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೆರದ ಬಾರು ಹರಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

None shall be weary nor stumble among them; None shall slumber nor sleep; Neither shall the belt of their loins be untied, Nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28
ಅವರ ಬಾಣಗಳು ಹದವಾಗಿವೆ, ಅವರ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿವೆ, ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಗೊರಸುಗಳು ಕಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಅವರ ಚಕ್ರಗಳು ಬಿರು ಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ರಭಸವಾಗಿವೆ.

Whose arrows are sharp, And all their bows bent. Their horses' hoofs will be like flint, And their wheels like a whirlwind.
29
ಅವರ ಘರ್ಜ ನೆಯು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ಅದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳಂತೆ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ಘರ್ಜಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬೇಟೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಬೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಘರ್ಜಿಸುವರು; ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಸಿದರೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವಿ. ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವದು.

Their roaring will be like a lioness. They will roar like young lions. Yes, they shall roar, And seize their prey and carry it off, And there will be no one to deliver.
30
ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಬೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಘರ್ಜಿಸುವರು; ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಸಿದರೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವಿ. ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವದು.
30
They will roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea. If one looks to the land, behold, darkness and distress. The light is darkened in its clouds.
